| #1darthvyceAug 22, 2008 15:03:57 | Hi All Just wondering if you could help me out wit the build below. I know it's not the most optimized but I think its rather flavorful and will be a loads o fun to play. Anyhoo, here is the build so far ... race:dwarf[NG] ftr 1[or soulborn]/wiz 2/incarnate 2/runesmith 5/soul caster 10 ablities
requirements
feats
Just a few quick notes:
Any suggestions/ideas for the last feat would be greatly appreciated. The only soulmeld that I know for sure that he will be shaping is the incarnate weapon (warhammer). This reflects his belief that Moradin has granted him the ability to wield the "soulpower" of his ancestors. Thanks in advance for any help. ![]() |

Fits thematically. 2: If you are focusing on the spellcasting side, NG is your friend (as it frees up your buff slots via soulmelds). If Meldshaping is your focus, then Totemist/Apostle of Peace/Contemplative/Sapphire Hierarch is a better build to do so with, as you can limit the penalty of lost ML (and Divine Power is broken). 3: The familiar may be a bad idea, as Soulcaster does not advance it (and you are taking a major hit to its progression). 4: If you are focusing on the casting side, then you may need to drop the Fighter level, as you are taking a huge hit to CL and spells/day. Not much else I can do for you, as Soulcaster is really not my forte when it comes to Incarnum PrCs. |

Fits thematically. Oh yeah ... I forgot about the soulborn alignment requirements. Crusader is an excellent idea! I will change the build accordingly.2: If you are focusing on the spellcasting side, NG is your friend (as it frees up your buff slots via soulmelds). Spellcasting is the focus. So, any suggestions on which soulmelds I should shape? 3: The familiar may be a bad idea, as Soulcaster does not advance it (and you are taking a major hit to its progression). I know they are pretty darn squishy. But I have always found them useful. I usually ensure that the little critter is out of harms way so, hopefully, it won't prove to be to much of a hindrance. 4: If you are focusing on the casting side, then you may need to drop the Fighter level, as you are taking a huge hit to CL and spells/day. I know that I am taking a huge hit to CL but I like the flavor of the build. Also, I would have to use a feat for heavy armor proficiency if I did not have the fighter level. I think for my last feat that I will take one of the spellcasting tactical feats. That should round out the character very well. Just one last thing ... which melds to shape? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for help Sinfire Titan. ![]() |
