For a Ravenloft game, I am looking to play a Dwarven Weapon Master. The game is starting at level 6, and follows the Expedition to Castle Ravenloft module. Stats will be decided be either rolling 4d6 and taking the best 3 for each stat, or 32 point buy. Sources are all core and libris mortis, as well as anything if we cite the book and page number. That is it from the DM.

I personally, want to play a Two-Weapon Fighting (yes, I know this is a sub-optimal path, but it has a reason) Dwarf. The base build will be Something 6/Exotic Weapon Master 1, taking the spell-less ranger variant from complete warrior. I want to focus on sword and axe fighting style, using the weapon style feats from complete warrior.

My question, is what feats/base class would make a good character for the concept.

Edit: The DM has allowed anything from Players Handbook II and Complete Warrior. I also learned that Ravenloft is full of zombies (I really am new to the setting), so slashing weapons seem like a must.

Try the following:

Desert Dwarf (UA, p.11)
Ranger 2/ Paladin(Holy Warrior Variant,CC,p.49) 4/ [Fighter 2/+X]

Feats:
1: Weapon Focus (Dwarven Waraxe)
2: Two-Weapon Fighting
3: Improved Trip
6: Sun Devotion(CC,p.62); Sacred Vengance(CW,p.108)

Followed by:
[7: Weapon Focus (Longsword)]
[8: High Sword Low Axe]

Take "Undead" as favored enemy. Aura of Courage is worth your weight in platinum, if you adventure in Ravenloft!
Sun Devotion + Sacred Vengance + FE Undead will take your dmg against undead to the sky

At Level 6 with 32pts buy:
Str: 16 (17) +1 level
Dex: 12 (10) -2 race
Con: 14 (16) +2 race
Int: 10
Wis: 8
Cha: 16

Undead will be your main opponents!
Attack: +9/+8/+4 (assuming at least masterwork weapons!)
Dmg: 1d10+11+2d6 (Dwarven Waraxe) 1d8+9+2d6 (Longsword) (w/ Sun Devotion and Sacred Vengance)
Saves: Fort:+13 Ref:+8 Will:+6 (remember you are immun to fear!)

You also have some nice tricks at hand, like Lay on hands, Turn undead (better used to fuel your feat though), Detect evil, Track, Smite evil, Divine health (yes there are mummies and werecreatures in Ravenloft), and last but not least: Aura of Courage grants your allies a bonus against fear, making it less probable that they run away, while you stand tough;) .
