| #1absinkenMar 16, 2008 5:04:31 | So what could someone do with an ECL 6 max character, no PrCs, and unlimited feats? I'm not even sure where to begin to wrap my head around. |
| #2armarantMar 16, 2008 5:11:04 | You could do many things.... though i suppose having a general idea of what your looking for from us would be much more helpful. |
| #3absinkenMar 16, 2008 5:20:17 | True. It would. I should figure that out first though... Hrm. The problem I see is that with only 6 levels, you'd lose out on any special features that you'd get later on in the class. I'm not sure I know of any good 6 level dip base classes. (If it was 8, I'd say Factotum.) On a side note, I just noticed you live in Hawaii. What island? |
| #4operation_shoestringMar 16, 2008 5:35:41 | True. It would. I should figure that out first though... Hrm. With unlimited feats? Level 6 wizard with 10 bajillion Toughness feats. There goes one of the wizard's biggest weaknesses. You from hawaii? I'm in Oahu myself... |
| #5armarantMar 16, 2008 5:37:13 | With unlimited feats? Lawl true. Yes, Im on Oahu also. Living in UH dorms. |
| #6absinkenMar 16, 2008 6:09:25 | Actually, that actually does give me a good idea. Wizard, or Cleric. Some sort of casting class that has access to reserve feats. Granted, this build is going to start low levels, work up to 6, then get a free bonus feat every so often. So I'd want to make it somewhat more than just infinite HP. =P That would explain why everyone's posting on so late at night. I'm living in Pearl Harbor, though about to move out soon. |
| #7wizuMar 16, 2008 7:09:07 | Oh, you guys are playing that variant. Same here myself. Really good choises; fighter 6, binder 6, factotum 6, early access casting prestige classes, anima mage 4, dragonfire adept 6, incarnum classes 6, any ToB classes 6. |
| #8absinkenMar 16, 2008 7:49:30 | Oh, you guys are playing that variant. Same here myself. I keep hearing something about (unarmed) variant swordsage? If so, how viable is a Monk 2/Swordsage 4 build? |
| #9crimsondeathMar 16, 2008 12:08:45 | So what could someone do with an ECL 6 max character, no PrCs, and unlimited feats? I'm not even sure where to begin to wrap my head around. Something like this. |
| #10true_shinkenMar 16, 2008 12:16:36 | Unlimited feats?! A meldshaper with all Incarnum feats would be horribly broken,if only for the sheer amount of essentia he'd have. |
| #11archerpwrMar 16, 2008 12:37:05 | Unlimited feats?! A meldshaper with all Incarnum feats would be horribly broken,if only for the sheer amount of essentia he'd have. Essentia caps. |
| #12mplindustriesMar 16, 2008 12:44:49 | Isn't there already a thread about optimizing E6 (or whatever its called)? You are playing that variant, right? The one where you get XP past level 6, but can only use it to gain more feats/class features? |
| #13sinfire_titanMar 16, 2008 13:49:11 | Factotum 6 Feats: Knowledge Devotion Font of Inspiration X (where X is your Int modifier) Animal Devotion x 30 Travel Devotion x 10 Healing Devotion x However many you want. Trickery Devotion x 4 (you won't need any more than this, and put max ranks into UMD) That's what you do with infinite feats. This will have many many shenanigans going on all at once. |
| #14crimsondeathMar 16, 2008 14:49:54 | Isn't there already a thread about optimizing E6 (or whatever its called)? Yes, the one I linked to. Factotum 6 The only way to have more than two Devotion feats is to be a Cleric and exchange a domain for one. There's no way whatsoever to get four of them. |
| #15sinfire_titanMar 16, 2008 14:56:06 | Yes, the one I linked to. Nowhere in CC does it say this. If you can show me the exact text, then I will beleive it. It says you cannot select another unless the second fits thematically with the first. So maybe Plant and Animal would go together, but getting Knowledge and Travel with either of them will be a bit of a stretch. |
| #16absinkenMar 16, 2008 18:10:07 | Something like this. Just what I needed. Didn't even occur to me that someone else might have come up with or thought of this before on here. >.< |
| #17crimsondeathMar 16, 2008 19:31:38 | Nowhere in CC does it say this. If you can show me the exact text, then I will beleive it. It says you cannot select another unless the second fits thematically with the first. Check the very next sentence after that. |
| #18sinfire_titanMar 16, 2008 22:24:45 | Check the very next sentence after that. D'oh! |
| #19chocolate_jesusMar 17, 2008 0:58:09 | step 1: play a frenzied berserker step 2: take a crap load of extend rage and extra rage. step 3: frenzy all day every day (and rock and roll all night). |
| #20crimsondeathMar 17, 2008 2:26:14 | step 1: play a frenzied berserker Problems: 1- Frenzied Berzerker requires BAB +6, so you can't enter it until level 7. 2- If I understand correctly, OP's DM banned PrC's anyway. |
| #21ChristopherGrovesMar 17, 2008 8:05:52 | God. Isn't there a feat that boosts your DR/-? E6 can be fun, but it can also be horribly manipulated ... you need a limit on feats. |
| #22green_eyesMar 17, 2008 8:08:04 | Search for invincible Henry. He uses the feat from Savage Speices "Roll with it", IIRC, that grants you DR x/-. |
| #23Midnight_vMar 17, 2008 8:11:15 | psion or psychic warrior Psionic body which gives 2 hp per psionic feat and psionic talent(which can be taken more than once and it goes +2,+3,+4,+5, +6+ 7 ad nauseum) or expanded knowledge. Honestly you could still build the "king of smack" with enough feats. . . |
| #24Midnight_vMar 17, 2008 8:13:57 | psion ??? |
| #25panserbjorn_xMar 17, 2008 9:39:47 | Essentia caps. Only the amount you can put into each soulmeld/feat/other class ability. Not how much a character can have at a given level. ~P_X~ |
