Ability Focus (Eldritch Blast) seems like a no-brainer as well. Have to use published content and this is a support/ blaster/ face character. No Eldritch Glaive stuff, he's a ranged attacker with Elrdritch/Hellfire Blast. Any help is good help. :P |

Divine Metamagic is the usual culprit but it's not the only one. The most powerful use is with Persistent Spell, but you can choose Reach for instance if you want to be in a support role. You can take Devotion feats as well (Complete Champion). You can't base eldritch disciple on ur-priest. The eldritch disciple prestige class requires you to worschip a chaotic or evil deity. An ur-priest despices deities and will never worship any deity. An ur-priest can worship a dead deity. 'Nuff said. |

It would allow you to take ability score damage but not feel the effects till the damage exceeded your buffer zone. |
