Hello everybody!

* What D&D books you can use?
=> Faerûn campaign and all the complete books
* What type of character you want it to be?
=> Mostly a mage specialized in fire damages
* What levels will this character be played at?
=> It begin at level 6
* Any house rules or particular details about your DM or the other characters in the game?
=> No particular rules or homemade rules
* What specifically you are looking for help with?
=> I'll play with some characters optimizer so I don't want to be the little thing that follows the group. (There is a Frenzied Berserker and a Priest (specialized on healing) )

Thank you.

What you should know:

  • Direct damage (DD) is not the most powerful thing a wizard can do.
  • Elemental Savant is not particularly strong, mostly due to the fact that you loose two spellcasting levels until level 10.
  • Fire damage is the weakest kind of elemental damage, since everyone and their mom is resistant/immune to it.

What to do about it:

  • Take a single level of Sanctified One (Kord) [Complete champion] to turn all your fire damage spells into spells that deal holy damage instead. No resistances / immunities apply to that. (Other ways to achieve something similar exist, such as the Silver Pyromancer PrC. However, this one is the easiest).
  • Drop out of Elemental Savant after level 3 to avoid lost spellcasting progression levels.
  • Pick the right feats, e.g.:
    • Elemental Spellcasting: Fire [Planar Handbook]: +1 CL on fire spells
    • Bloodline of Fire [PGtF] (regional): +2 CL on fire spells
    • Spell Thematics [PGtF]: +1 CL on select spells
    • Elemental Focus [Dr319] (regional): +1 CL on all elemental spells
    • Jinnbond: Efreeti [Dr319] (regional): +2 CL on fire spells
    • Practiced Spellcaster [CA]: increase caster level
    • Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus: increase the save DC
    • Spell Penetration and Greater Spell Penetration: increase chaces of overcoming SR.

  • Consider the War Mage PrC [Dragonlance], which increases the damage you do with your spells considerably (almost doubles it for most spells).

Optional:

  • Take the Spellgifted trait [Unearthed Arcana]: +1 CL for one school (likely evocation), -1 for all others

Yes, I guess that this PrC is weak (because of the CL loss), but in the background of my character, he wants to become an elemental because think that the human blood in his vein make him weak...
So how can I do?

PS: And I eared of something that can inflict half fire damages to immun foes. what was it?

It's not that hard to become an Elemental, even without that horrid PrC. Frankly, I find blasters fun when they're good, but Elemental Savant is horrible.

Are you 100% sure you want a Sorcerer? Just saying, because a Wizard would be that much better, and would have just as many spells per day (more if we try).

If you want an optimized, non-broken, and fun Spontaneous Caster, I'd suggest playing a Blue Mage. Many people have playtested it, self included, and it's just fine. Example PC: Jandor the Voracious.

I'd never say I want to play a sorcerer
What’s the other way to become an elemental?
For the bleu mage, I can't because we're only allowed to use Faerun set and the complete books. (Even if it looks good...)

The feat Searing Spell is from Sandstorm, I believe.

Not to sound like a broken record, but PaOx2?

Alternatively, savage species has some rules for this.

Too bad you can't use the "Pathfinder" D&D variant from Paizo Publishing; then you could just play an Elemental bloodline sorcerer.

So, is there someone that can do something for me?

Isn't it possible to do something good with the elemental savant?

Getting Earth Glide via the Earth Elemental is one way to make a whatchamacallit (move through earth, cast, move back to the earth).

Fire elemental will be the easiest to optimize w/ your sources. Try this:

Human (Calamsham)
Evoker 5, Focused Specialist (CM), Energy Affinity variant (UA) / Elemntal Savant 10 / Evoker +5 (or something else +5)

1,b,b Bloodline of Fire (Player's Guide to Faerun), Improved Initiative (Martial Wizard variant - UA), Calashite Elementalist (Races of Faerun) (CL = 5)
3 Energy Substitution: Fire
5b traded for spontaneous divination variant - CChamp
6 Searing Spell (SS)
9 Fiery Burst (CL = 14)
12 Spell Thematics (PGtF) (CL = 17)
15 Twin Spell
18 Empower Spell
20b Arcane Thesis

This would be extremely strong in the low to mid levels for direct damage.

Elemental Savant isn't worth it even then. It doesn't add enough to what you want to do. You're better off playing an Incanatrix and not an Elemental Savant.

How are you meeting the requirement for Energy Sub: Fire? You have to have a metamagic feat before you can take it.

I'm working on Elemental Savant (Water) at the moment. I'm alternating Frost Mage / ES(Water) levels currently, going to stop with ES at level 4.

It's got some nice synergy.

For the original poster, you might can converting Frost Mage to Fire Mage and stack it with Elemental Savant.

By... magic?

OK, trade Energy Sub and Searing Spell and its legal.
