| #1ardynn_the_slayerMar 22, 2008 3:16:47 | Hey everybody I need some advice. In the Eberron campaign we're about to start, I'm going to be playing a Valenar elven monk using the double scimitar who's shooting toward the Dervish prestige class. I was wondering if I should stick it out as a monk or if I should add a couple levels of fighter in there. Is it worth the trade off? Here are my stats if that helps: Str 14 Dex 20 Con 10 Int 12 Wis 16 Chr 8 Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

After that, you can do Dervish. I'd suggest abuild, but I'm not certain what the reqs for RB are. You probably need the fighter levels. You need the full BAB. Infact, ditch the monk altogether if that is your goal, since the monk doesn't synergize with it (or anything!). Maybe something like Fighter4/Ranger2/EWM1/RB5/Dervish8? You don't get Thousand Cuts, but you do get a ton of attacks from Flurry, Slashing Fury, and (I)TWF, so your Dervish dances will be fruitful. Make sure you take Power Attack! |

Monk is part of the background for the elven bladedancer in the books, was trying to find some way to combo the monk flurry with extra dervish attacks. Thanks for the advice so far guys! |
