Free Weapon Finesse, Int to damage, better BAB and HD, for the cost of 2d6 sneak attack which can be made up for with the Daring Outlaw feat. Throw in the feat Craven for extra sneak attack damage and possibly go TWF for more attacks. For a simple dagger based assassin something like Rogue 2/ Swashbuckler 3/ Assassin 10/ Invisible Blade 5 or Rogue 2 /Swash 3/ Assassin 9/ Master Thrower 1/ Invis Blade 5 Either one nets you 17 BAB 11d6+20 sneak attack with the Daring Outlaw and Craven feats (throw in Darkstalker for even more sneakiness) . All of the Assassin goodies, Int to damage and AC. With this you can go TWF for both melee and ranged. A Gauntlet of Infinite Blades would be a worthwhile investment with this build. Another option is Rogue 2/ Swash 3/ Assassin 9/ Telfammer Shadowlord 6. This focuses more on Spring Attacking and Death Attack. You'll still want to look into Craven, Daring Outlaw, and Darkstalker for more sneaky/stabby stuff but you'll lack the extra attacks you would get with TWF. However shadow pouncing around the battle field is both fun and useful for keeping yourself alive. |

Second template, for evil people, is Lolth-touched from page 92 of MMIV. Are you stuck with that starting race? There are a couple of other starting races you might like to consider which may be more in line with your needs as an "Evil assassin". |
| #4nareshFeb 07, 2009 6:45:05 | We have to use one of these starting races... rhino man +2 str +2 wis -2 cha can trample on charge proficient with most 2h weapons bonus to saving throws against magic rat man +2 dex +2 con -2 str dark vision bonus to saves vs poison and diseases bonus on hide and move silently panther man +2 dex +2 str -2 con proficient with bows lowlight vision bonus to search spot and listen bonus to climb bear man +2 str +2 cha -2 wis bonus to diplomacy bonus feat So I should go with: swashbuckler 3/rogue 2/assassin 2 feats wise: Two weapon fighting (lv 1) Weapon focus (kukri) (lv 3) greater two weapon fighting (lv 6) Is this acceptable? Also, is panther man the best choice in starting class? We get 19000 GP to spend, are a couple of magic Kukri (flaming/shock) With a shadowed mithralbreast plate a good choice? what else? for stats (in order) Int Str Dex Con Wis/Cha then skills: tumble balance hide move silently |

It would give you 2 more hitpoints per level, darkvision, and bonuses to H/MS is always nice. Then just put STR at 12 or 14 which would bring it down to 10 to 12 after racial modifiers. If you decide to go with the throwing build I would definately choose panther. rat man +2 dex +2 con -2 str dark vision bonus to saves vs poison and diseases bonus on hide and move silently |
