| #1ChaosticMoonNov 01, 2011 12:47:41 | Recently I'm creating a character for a campaign (3R) where there probably going to be only three PCs, the other two besides me being a druid and a Warblade. The campaign starts at lv7, and I built a Conjurer3/Master Specialist 4 Summoners and , and choose Evocation and Enchantment as my prohibited school. However, one of the player reminded me that Magic Missle is the only way (we are playing under restricted resources, so my spell selections are most likely limited to only SRD, even though I may get one or two spells out of spell compendium, or complete mage) that our group may effectively deal with incorporeal creatures. I looked through the creature I can summon, and most of them don't seems to have the ability to deal with incorporeals. So I'm wondering if I should prohibit necromancy instead of evocation? Or is there a spell of my current level that could deal with incorporeal effectively? Any advices would be appreciated. |

Still, I'd say pool your resources to buy a grost touch weapon (or a lesser truedeath crystal if they are allowed) for the warblade and then buff /have your summons run interference for him. |

Also, while damaging spells are hard to do, effects work just fine, generally. Just use the right one - while Grease does nothing, Solid Fog works just fine. |
