I know it involves feat swapping, but I found no link in the Surrealdex.

Fiendish Codex I has two spells, Embrace the Dark Chaos and Shun the Dark Chaos. The latter allows you to chance any feat you possess to a Abyssal heritage (or something to that effect) feat and the latter allows you to change any Abyssal heritage feat into another feat you qualify for.

This is why we have Ask a simple question...

1) Get a bunch of feats. Doesn't matter what they are. Could be a crap ton of Weapon Focus feats. Whatever.

2) Get someone to cast Embrace the Dark Chaos on you. A lot. Lose all of your feats (or as many as you don't want anymore), and take Abyssal Heritor feats to replace them.

3) Get someone to cast Shun the Dark Chaos on you. A lot. You lose all your Abyssal Heritor feats, and can take any feats you qualify for as replacements.

4) Profit.

That being said, the Heritor feats themselves are not bad...

Assuming you pay a wizard15 or cleric15 standard market price, each casting of Embrace or Shun costs 2,450 gold. (Swapping each feat this way costs 4,900.) It's significant, but the cost hurts less the closer you are to being able to cast the spells.

If you can cast Embrace or Shun, each casting is 250 XP and a L8 spell slot.

Then again, anything that can get you Wish/Miracle gets you it for free. Planar binding, Shapechange into a Zodar, Planar Shepherd, Dweomerkeeper, Shadowcraft Mage and such are all reasonable substitutes.

Candle of Invocation allows you to do this (and anything else you want to) for the low low price of 8900gp (is that the right price?), and anyone can do it.
