Imagine if you will Twice-Orphaned, a Goliath who is accompanied by his ever faithful blood-brother Pop "The Weasel" Founson, a Whisper Gnome: Pop (in his whispery voice): T-O, look! A squad of 10 goblins, in a classic triangular scouting formation! We should attack them, for the Motherland! Twice-Orphaned: I don't have a mother. Pop: Oh, I'm sorry. Still, we should attack! (spot check) Blast! It seems that they are close to 200ft away! That's too far away to charge. Twice-Orphaned: I may not be able to, but you can. Pop: Hwhat? Twice-Orphaned grabs hold of Pop's collar, swings him around and launches him at the unsuspecting goblins. With his Improved Rock Hurling, he can hurl Pop 200ft (taking a -10 to attack against an AC of 5), and Pop goes sailing. Unfortunately, Pop neglected to take Improved Bull Rush and bounces off the lead goblin's armor. Anyways, all kidding aside, Fling Ally could be pretty fun. Do feats that apply to thrown weapons affect it, such as Far Shot? And if Pop actually did have Improved Bull Rush, and for that matter, Shock Trooper, would he be able to apply those affects while he is flying through the air? |

| #4NiteCyperJan 25, 2009 1:11:09 | Pop probably wouldn't get to apply anything. It's the difference between throwing a corpse and throwing Pop. Unless Pop is corkscrewing himself, slashing blades in front of himself or curling himself into a ball, he would be as effective as a corpse being thrown. |

Assuming whoever is flinging him can finesse the altitude just right, Pop could theoretically take advantage of Battle Jump on his way down to get a diving charge. |
| #6gorfnad_the_shiznitJan 26, 2009 0:21:07 | How about a Goliath Warblade 5/ Hulking Hurler 3 / Master Thrower 5/ Bloodstorm Blade 7 (or some similar build) with Leadership and Fling Ally So you get your Whispergnome cohort (Pop) and a cadre of whispergnome rogues who all have the feat Swarm Fighting ![]() ![]() |
