| #1PoisonAlchemistNov 19, 2009 0:47:56 | Premise: Fell in love with the fear handbook (brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.p...) and built a caster, and a demoralizer. Put the demoralizer in the game I was running and suddenly the players WANT her to be a recurring villain. I need help giving her a bit more pizazz to scale with them and possibly making her playable for me when a friend runs a horror game next year. Sources: All 3.5 WoTC sources, externals allowed pending approval. I would like to limit the number of sources used, as it's a houserule I apply to my players and would like to stick to myself. Concept: A demoralizer wielding a kusari-gama. Get them to panic, trip them to cower, get in close and switch to TWF for the kill. Currently: Build: Human (30 or less point buy) Zhentarim (CoV web enhancement) Hit-and-Run Tactics (DrU) Fighter 5 / Poison Use Rogue (DrU) 2 / Avenging Executioner (Comp. Sc.) 4 / Scarlet Corsair (Stormwrack) 5 / Zen. Fighter +4 Feats: EWP Kusari-Gama, TWF, Weapon Finesse, Combat Expertise, Improved Trip, Skill Focus Intimidate (free), Combat Reflexes, Vale School Style (DrU), Imperious Command (DrU), Nymph's Kiss (BoED), Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization, Improved Weapon Focus, Improved Weapon Specialization Ability Summary at level 11: Characters flat-footed when in a state of fear Issues: I've become convinced she needs larger reach, but am not sure how to achieve it (not fond of aberrants and would like to stay human). Am I trying to get too much into one build? Is there a way to better consolidate the MAD? I also adore the idea of mobility, and Ninja Spy looks good, and Mantis Mercenary would be a worthwhile dip perhaps to save some feats (OA). Is the scarlet Corsair worth it? Is there something better I could do with those last couple feats? I also counteracted her terrible will saves with Studded Mindarmor (MIC) Fearsome (DrU) Leather Armor. Please lend me your inspiration COers, I'm all out. |
