His charge making the enemy quiver in their boots. These are a few of the things I've found so far that may help in creating a truly frightening warrior. Feats: Intimidating Rage Imperious Command Skill Tricks: Never Outnumbered PrC: Avenging Executioner What else may be of use? One requirement of the build is that it has several different ways of inducing fear. Stacking up those bonuses. The Dread Necromancer's Fear Aura is sweet, but since we're playing a low magic campaign she's off limits. |

It's the only reason to go Fighter 10, but it actually works well. Combine it with Dungeoncrasher sub levels (Dungeonscape, lose 2nd and 6th level bonus feats to gain damage when you bullrush people into objects) to cruise around the battlefield charging/bullrushing people into things and terrifying them. For Feats, grab Dreadful Wrath (Player's Guide to Faerun) to gain a fear aura when you charge, then swift-action mass demoralize to force everyone near you to cower for a minute. Also, grab Power Attack, Improved Bull Rush, Shock Trooper, and if you can qualify (Human with Jotunbrut, Goliath, whatever) Knock Back, so you can trigger bullrushes whenever you hit people (hint: all the time) and gain a bonus equal to the penalty you would've taken to attack rolls using PA (so you can actually bullrush big things). Leap Attack would synergize with everything, esp. since it can set you up to bullrush people down, using the ground as your "wall". Sure, it'll lose effectiveness at higher levels as spells keep getting better and more flexible, but for relatively low-level play it's a pretty solid build. You get damage (and a couple of different ways of generating it, no less!), along with some BFC (without spiked chain/Improved Trip, although you could plausibly through those in as well). |

At level 15 you will scare the poop out of anyone who is not immune to fear as you can easily boost your Intimidate into the +30's/40's. Build the rest of the build however you want. Enjoy |

If they save your frightful attack they are shaken for 1 round, if they fail they die and then anyone with in 30' of your victim that sees you make the attack must make a save or become panicked and if they save they are all shaken. To avoid getting flamed I've not sat down and studied this out so I am not 100% sure how efective this plan is. Just an idea hope you find a good build! |
