Feats for a beast, help needed

May 26, 2012 18:38:36 Hi there, this is my first post but i have been seeing this forums for a time. (sorry for my bad english btw)
I come here seeking for help with my actually character.
We are in a faerum campaign at lvl 12.
Im playing with a semi-ogre dire-wolf lycanthrope. 3ecl+6hd+Barbarian 1+ explorer 1+ soul eater 1, where im now leveling to soul eater 10, no more diping.
Elite array in scores, and i alredy got this feats: Power attack, improved scent, and a epic feat that gives fast healing 3 (dm consider that it only requires Con 25). Now i have to choose another feat and i dont know which to take.
I have thought many about it, considered rapid strike from draconomicon but i cant take, and dm will not let me.
I got like 38 str in hibrid form, and 28 Con, around 16 DEx, and really nice saves (22, 14, 14), around 130 hp.

So i would like suggestion about the feat, and for the incoming level (items, feat, etc), Im pretty sure you guys knows better that myself how to build nicely my character.

May 26, 2012 18:53:17 How about either Improved Natural Attack (Bite or Claw) or Multi-Attack, so you don't take so much of a penalty on your claw/claw/bite in hybrid form?

Oh, and use 9,000XP to pay off +1 of your LA (those rules are in the Unearthed Arcana).

May 26, 2012 18:59:44 Seems strange not to see Warshaper in the build, it'd be pretty sweet here.

Agreed with multiattack I think, makes you better in terms of raw power. You could take Improved Bull Rush and gain knockback, but that'd only be great if you took dungeoncrasher levels.

Anyway ok i may take that feat, but the main problem is the same, im out of ideas for future feats

May 26, 2012 23:16:52 Some suggestions. I'm also a fan of Bind Vestige + Improved Bind Vestige, which gives you access to Focalor (a -2 to many things aura available with feats; you'd be amazed how often this helps) if you have feats to spare.

I really don't like Template Hell creatures like this, but you may as well go for it.

Incidentally, your character is too powerful for level 12. You get 6 dire wolf HD, a +3 level adjustment for the werewolf lord ("dire werewolf") template, plus three class levels... but you forgot the +2 level adjustment from being a half-ogre.

Savage Species is 3e, not 3.5; the 3.5 half-ogre is in Races of Destiny. It is virtually unchanged, except that the level adjustment is +2. Your character is too strong.
Also im thinking about dragon feats, but allmost have the requisite of dragon tipe/subtipe. There is a way to obtain the dragon subtipe?

You need the dragonblooded subtype, not the full dragon type. The subtype is easy to obtain at level 1. The only ways to get it after level 1 all involve 11 Charisma or higher (I think that will be difficult for you) or a template (ANOTHER one).

You can aim for the Dragon Devotee prestige class (Races of the Dragon) if you'd like; it's a smaller version of the Dragon Disciple PrC that's aimed at non-casters, and it grants the draconic template at the end of its 5 levels; this allows draconic feats.
