Hard-hitting enough to be useful even outside of a grapple. * Fleshraker Dinosaur (MM3) - Grapple check: +3 - An absolutely OMG form, if it's allowed. Fleshrakers can charge, pounce, trip, pin, and poison, all in one round, and also has great AC to boot. You're going to see this role a lot in the other lists, and it remains awesome whenever you have to charge something, especially if it's medium-sized or smaller. * Leopard - The core-only and no-dinosaurs alternative to the Fleshraker and Deinonychus. Not a dynamo, but decent in its own way. * Desmodu Hunting Bat (MM2) - Speed 60 ft. (good) - Very good Dex and AC, and an odd wolf-like trip attack. * Dire Hawk (RotW) - Speed 80 ft. (average) - Faster than Desmodu Hunting Bat, but has slightly lower Dex and AC, and isn't as hard-hitting. * Eagle - Speed 80 ft. (average) - The best core-only flier at this level, but has mediocre AC and Dex, and abysmal attacks. dog to sneak past guards or baboon to laugh at someone |

Druid 5/Master of Many Forms 10/Beastmaster 5 Take Natural Bond and you have a pet of a 16th lvl Druid, and can Wild shape into pretty much anything. Giant, Mostrous Humanoid, fey, vermin, aberration, plant, ooze, elemental, and dragons! Not to mention you can shape into Diminutive and Gargantuan creatures and 10 extra uses of wild shape just from your Master of Many Forms. O and you can Shape as a move action and gain the creatures Extraordinary special qualities. There are some really sick combos you can use this with. Or you can go Druid 5/MMF 10/Druid 5 and still cast as a 10th lvl caster and retain all the abilities above exept the nice pet. If you dont want to gimp your Casting Ability... Druid 20 or Druid 5/Planar Shepard 10/Druid 5 if your DM lets you get away with that broken class lol. Druids are about the most customizable base class. You are good at whatever you decide to take feats to improve. If you want just stick with straight Druid(still a powerful build) just take feral feats. |

| #5sir_argenonAug 21, 2008 17:04:42 | IMO druid 20 with the proper feats and magic items is going to be plenty tough enough for just about any situation that you face. but is you REALLY want to prc out, and if youre looking for combat wildshapes, look no further than warshaper and/or nature's warrior both 5 level classes and located in complete warrior. the best combat animal forms are fleshraker dinosaur, tiger, dire tiger, all bear forms. chargers are rhinercorous and triceratops. fliers are dire hawk, dire eagle, roc, legendary eagle, desmodu hunting bat. grapplers are tiger, brown and polar bear and giant croc. there are many many more. these are just examples. look here in this THREAD. its the best guide you can find on wildshape. |
| #6marcbAug 21, 2008 18:41:31 | I have always liked Druid 10, Lion of Talisid 10. You gain 20th lvl companion, 20th lvl Druid casting, but your Wildshape ability is only lvl 18. You loose 1 elemental wildshape/day and huge elemental wildshape access, but now if you wildshape into a dire tiger you get pounce. Also you can haste for 10 rounds at at LoT 10, and proper feats can make you seem more of the wildshape type. |
