Trying to pick a few spells for the Fiendish Sorcery class feature that allows you to add any spell to your spells known so long as they have the fire descriptor or are a spell from the schools of enchantment, illusion, or necromancy. I've seen a post a from a few years back on this thread that had a few okay suggestions, but I find it hard to believe that there aren't a few real gems or no-brainer picks, even if it's just for a reduced level off some wierd class list. I guess it's possible that there's not any super picks, but if you were a sorcerer picking your spells for this, what would you go with?

While I have nothing specific I'm thinking that the Bard should have some enchantments and illusion spells that are lower levelled then the comprable Wizard/Sorcerer spell would be.

Depends on your play style and what spells your Sorc. has already.  You could grab spells that you can use for out of combat stuff, spells that you can use in combat, or things that would generally be a waste of a spells known slot normally.  For example, if you're a necromancer, getting things like Desecrate, General of Undeath, and Revive Undead (or other Undead boosting spells) from the Cleric list and saving your spells known for other stuff is a good plan.

I don't have much experience with Illusion or Enchantment beyond Invisibility in 3.5, so I can't help you there (if you have access to the Pathfinder Sorc/Wiz list however, get Aura of the Unremarkable, there's a reason I call it the "Assassins best friend").

To be honest, I'm the kind of guy who likes blowing things up.  If it makes things go boom, I generally take it, plus have wands and scrolls of it and the stuff I can't get as spells known.  Give me enemies without spell resistance to deal with, the Maximize spell feat for lower level spells, and items that give Maximize Spell for free for higher level spells, and I'm very happy Laughing .  My view of things is as follows: let the wizard handle battlefield control, boosting teamates and the like.  They have the spells for it, so long as the DM doesn't play whack-a-mole with the Banhammer.  You, to quote the Pathfinder Sorc. guide online, are the boomstick.  Your entire job is to take the 50-500 guys on the right, and help the Rogue herd what (or who) is left fighting you into range of the Fighter/Paladin/Melee person of the party (just make sure you know what your spells' effect range is when you do.  I once detonated a Fireball on the surrounded and about to die fighter, and nearly singed half the party by accident.  While everyone, including the fighter, surived, no one was amused (though to be fair, the party fighter had beforehand point-blank told my character to Fireball him after doing something stupid while drunk that he REALLY wanted to forget.  I followed orders.))

Point is, untill I know what type of character you're playing, and what spells they know (plus what books you're DM says are okay), I can give you advice till I'm blue in the face, it won't help either of us unless we can refine the advice down to suit you're needs.  There might be a Fiend Blooded guide on one of the BG/Minmax forums, though.  I thought I saw one, at least.

I would say that my character is geared more towards blasting from the perspective of feats. However I'm not adverse to throwing down a buff or some control if it's one of those top 1% spells. I'm trying to figure out if there isn't anythnig better to spend these spells on other than picking up like Orb of Fire and just adding a boring old spell known.

i love otto's irresistible dance for that. being lvl 6 instead of 8, when you take it from the bards list is great, especially cause it allows no save, so the lower spell level gives nearly no negative effect

Persuade your DM that Heal should be Necromancy. I mean, Conjuration? Seriously? Who came up with that idea?
