#1 angelus_obscura Aug 07, 2008 1:21:06	Hullo all! I am preparing for an Eberron game and I need help with my as of yet unnamed character. He is an heir of House Lyrandar, and a swordsage. My main problem is with the ability score array that I rolled up (4d6 - lowest). 15, 10, 12, 10, 14, 11 How would you distribute the scores to optimize this warrior? I'd like to add that he will be taking the Dragonmarked Heir and Storm Sentry PrCs. I'd appreciate some input, feedback, and advice (for a progression if willing). Thanks.

#4 arcane_dup Aug 07, 2008 3:49:50	Yeah, those are terrible rolls. Try and get them higher - maybe convince the DM to let you reroll the 10s and 11s.
#5 Blade2718 Aug 07, 2008 5:41:39	Even in the PHB, it says something about that low of rolls being rerollable If your total modifiers are +3 or if your point buy equivalent is less than 25. Your stats are neither. Kurashu's array looks pretty good.

I'd either go with Kurashu's suggestion and grab the Intuitive Strike feat (BoED), or I'd play a race with negatives to Int/Cha and some physical stat boosts (Goliath maybe - Powerful Build is nice with Setting Sun throws - or just slap the Feral template on something if possible). And while those stats are technically 25 pts, they're distributed sub-optimally, so I'd ask for a reroll if possible (especially if other players rolled well). Otherwise, link in sig.

However, I will ask him if I can reroll if the other players all roll way better than me. I am leery of templates, and I can't be anything else than a half-elf, as I am a dragonamarked of Lyrandar. If I am stuck with this array, I will have to use my cleric character with it. It is horrible for a warrior. T_T Thanks, Kurashu. I'll use that with my cleric if I can't get a reroll.
#8 blargney_the_second Aug 07, 2008 13:55:18	Option 1: Str 11, Dex 15, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 12, Cha 10 Grab Weapon Finesse and Shadow Blade as soon as you can. Option 2: Str 15, Dex 12, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 11, Cha 10 Take a level or two in fighter (or any other class with heavy armor & full BAB) and get into fullplate as soon as you can afford it.

Dragonborn works for you. It still counts as the previous race for feats and PrCs.
