#1 clockworkrevenge May 13, 2008 5:03:16	I need help creating a character. I want to create a powerful, somewhat optimized, fun character. The catch is, a lot of the powerbuilds dont seem fun or appealing to me, at least the ones ive glanced over. For me, i prefer to create the flavor of my char, and optimize from there. So, first of all i apologize if this doesnt exactly fit into this forum, it doesnt really fit into the CharOp boards either. So heres my issue. I want to create a wizard revolving around forbidden, tabboo-ish knowledge. Specificly id like to create a character whos mechanics and flavor revolve around the Tainted Sorcerer's blood component ability, but i want to have a character i actually enjoy playing, and im having trouble creating a powerfull one of those. The plan would be to take wizard levels, one level of tainted sorcerer (cheezily), and levels of loremaster for the added flavor of knowledge. Id like to create a wizard heavy on battlefeild control and, gasp, dare i say blasting. Somewhat of a generalist wizard, with a heavy lean towards battlefeild control, blasting, and battlefield utility spells. Anyone have any ideas to help me create a good wizard that is also interesting and fits with the flavor im going for? Justifying an idea/flavor for a wizard to jive with the mechanics is basicly the most important aspect im trying to pin down. Im gonna post this on both CharOp and CharDev boards, because i feel that it falls into both catagorys, (deal with it).

Actually, it's any sort of wizard, except one that bans conjuration AND evocation. And who in their right mind would ban conjuration? You've listed about every application of spells. Even divination and teleport (battlefield utility). As to your flavour, well, there's the blood magus (or whossname?). I think it sucks. There is also the tainted scholar. Well, it's cheese to the power of ten (but only if you become undead).
