Thoughts?
Looking to start a new character, and I want him to focus on force spells. I know of the Force Missile Mage and the Argent Savant, but I am not sure what feats and spells to take. I had thought of either starting as a wizard or a warmage...or both and going into Ultimate Magus.

Ultimate Magus, akin to mystic theurge, is overrated/actually not so awesome. If youre hellbent on force missile mage or argent savant, why not just go ahead and specialize, and then focus specialize in evokation, be a grey elf so you can ***** Int.
Make sure you pick up Easy Metamagic, and metamagic school focus, spell focus, and greater spell focus, (try and get your DM to let you use my gross Maddness ability too...)

Ultimate Magus is quite good. Don't ever, ever focus specialize in evocation... there aren't enough schools that you could drop.
Here'sa thread on using Force Missile Mage as a debuffer... some good ideas, but be sure you read the last post, as it's an important warning.
For a bonus, here'sa thread on why you should never be a warmage. It's so true...
If you can get Force Missile Mage allowed, see if you DM will allow the updated line of Magic Missile that's in the sidebar of the same article.
Also, I think there's a number of ways to boost Force damage with feats. Crystalkeep is your friend.

And yes, UM is a very decent PrC with PS trick, but it doesn't really combine well with this due to the way the trick works.
I seem to remember that there's a "Force Needle" (I might have the name wrong) reserve feat. If you're already pushing everything towards force type damage, that might be a good investment...always gives you something to do every round at least. ;)

Ask your DM if Argent Savant can be a full casting PrC, and take both that and Force Missile Mage. Abuse Metamagic, and Fell Drain in particular.

Additionally, it's only 1d4 per level of the highest level spell you have prepared with the [force] descriptor. So unless you're planning on preparing a Bigby's... whatever that crummy-ass spell is... every day, it's not really worthwhile. (It's only rarely worthwhile even if you do prep that spell every day.)
I recommend a Force Missile Mage/Incantatrix build.
Force Missile Mage is also in the Dragon Compedium.
Arcane Thesis, Magic Missile and then start loading up metamagics that boost the damage, and also disable the enemy (the fell line is awesome for this). Remember only 1 missile has to hit them for each fell effect to activate (though if they get hit by multiple missiles they only suffer the effects once, until they are hit by another spell).
My plan was to get as many metamagic feats as I can and jump into Force Missile Mage (possible taking some energy sub feats as well) - a twinned, empowered, repeated magic missile is nice and fun to think about. I had thought Warmage would be a good entry point (our upcoming campaign is going to be martially-focused, and warmage is good flavorwise).
My thought is to do Warmage6/FMM5 and either Incantatrix9 or Argent Savant5/Incantatrix4. Thoughts?

I have to ask... why would you ever, ever sub any energy for force? EVER?
You may want to rethink being a spontaneous caster... remember, your current approach relies on using a DUMBLOAD of metamagic. That'll be easier once you hit Incantatrix, but still...
Don't forget about the metamagic storm location for a cheap metamagic feat purchase.

I like warmage for the flavor, plus I don't want to break our game (I have made my DM cry - not literally - during our current campaign and I don't want a repeat with my next character). That said, what can I do to maximize him?
