Forced into Gestalt madness HELP!

Well my (new) DM is starting a tester game, he wants to throw a few Gestalt PCs through an incredibly boosted Red Hand of Doom game...

Character Creation:
MUST contain primarily favoured soul and paladin (freedom or standard variety only)

Prestige classes allowed on both sides at DMs discression

40 point buy

standard gold for level

50% to level 11 (so lv 10 gestalt)

Any book save campaign specific, or psionics, magic of incarnum, tome of battle or tome of magic (may have missed one or two...)

Must be PHB race.

I was thinking of straight favoured soul, paladin 10

With 40 point buy I can easily get 20 CHA without trying meaning an awesome 10x CHA healing for 50 healing points a day

Not too shabby I thought, then the +5 divine grace struck me as cool too :P

As well as 10 resistance to 2 elements, I was thinking of starting with fire and acid

I was also thinking of going down power attack line (only a possibility) with the God Kord for 2h great-sword

I am completely unsure how to work this though as the DM will disallow multiple classes immediately (so having 5 or more classes would be bad...)

He also has a thing against super mounts and most other cheesy stuff like that, he stalks these boards constantly, so can sniff game breaking a mile off

(yes strangely he let me post here...)

Oh well, I have had lots of great ideas for characters previously with gestalt, but I always end up worrying about the other half of the progression, meaning the character always gets scrapped...

So... PLEASE HELP

EDIT: have also been wondering, is there anyway to boost BAB past your level? same with skill ranks (as in more than 3+level)

EDIT 2: party composition:
cleric / warlock / paragonistic apostle - dragon born earth dwarf
rogue / ninja - halfling

Well i find that Warblade (ToB) and a Clearic of wee jas (see guides on necromancers) is at times a fun item for gestlat fun, now for the warblade i find that White Raven Tatics is a big help but learn most of the stone dragion manuvers will work. now with the clearic you are in a sence an armoured holy mage you have some healing spells but use them mostly for control and offience recomended domains Death and War.

Kensai cohort and (debatably) Favoured Contact, from Cityscape, respectively.

skeletal build

1 Paladin / cleric spell domain for any spell & knowledge domain for knowledge nature
2 paladin / cleric
3 paladin / cleric
4 paladin / geomancer
5 paladin / geomancer
6 paladin / geomancer battle blessing
7 paladin / geomancer
8 paladin / geomancer
9 paladin / geomancer
10 paladin / geomancer
11 paladin / geomancer
12 paladin / geomancer
13 paladin / geomancer

add whatever prc on cleric side
take drifts for added combat plus full cleric spells
Not that over powering in gestalt only 3 books out of core used
and still room for dmm .

I can't do cleric, it HAS to be favoured soul...

I like the idea of that though

Anything better than straight 10/10

- take versatile spellcaster (converting favored soul spells into paladin spells)
- take human paragon (if you're human) for +2 cha and feat
- choose a nice divine PrC (potentially even without full casting - take dead levels on the paladin side) (e.g. walker in the waste)
- read some paladin handbook and some cleric handbook for inspiration

pious templar for mettle and i think divine oracle for evasion in armour.

Your saving throws are going to be fanstastic and I've not played red hand of doom but I'm guessing you'll be reaching for that saving throw d20 frequently.

Mounted combat is hot too, but if your not small dungeons could be an issue...

favored soul/paladin both charisma based and meld well. Get the feat power of personality = cha intead of wiz to will saves, are you allowed the BoED?

The human Paragon can get you +2 cha as can the half elf paragon, get cloak of charisma as high as possible

force of personality is only against [mind affecting] will saves.
granted that is the majority of will saves, but its important to know.

What about doing Favored Soul with PrC Paladin? Something as simple as Orc Favored Soul 4/PrC Paladin of Freedom 6//Fighter 4/Favored Soul +3/Lion Totem Barbarian 3 would be pretty solid, granting full favored soul casting between the two sides. Throw in the Holy Mount feat and you'll have a very solid mount, and then you can rock out charger style with Power Attack, Improved Bull Rush, Shock Trooper, Mounted Combat, Ride By Attack, Spirited Charge, and Holy Mount, taking Headlong Rush at the next opportunity. Use a +1 Valorous Lance.

That gives you 105+5d8+7.5XStrmod damage per hit on the charge, and rage, plus a level 13 paladin mount... and you're a full caster.
