Hey guys, so I've got a red wizard character with a lovely little apprentice, a high leadership score, and a CL of 20+ at tenth level.  What sorts of fun things can you do with a very high caster level relative to your level?

A few fun things I've realized:
-You can max all of the level dependant buffs
-Your Spells are basically immune to counterspelling by a similarly leveled character (barring strange exceptions)
-Durations of basically everything are longer

Any tricks or things I haven't realized?

Spell-storing items to store your high-level spells 'til when you need them. This gives you access to some direct damage. Most battlefield control doesn't benefit all that much  - usually not outside extended duration - from high CL.

A shame you can't access certain out-of-scope spells. Bard spell 'improvisation' gets more and more awesome with high CL

Of course, in a few levels, you'll have access to Blasphemy/Dictum/Word of Chaos/Holy Word... well, with Arcane Disciple anyway. That'll break the game in half.

So, I woke up this morning, and a possible way to exploit my lack of damage dealing (aka evocation and necromancy) spells came to me.

Since my spells are so hard to dispell, seeding some explosive runes somewhere, and then having the party sorcerer cast dispel magic on them.  I checked the rules, the DC is one higher than it is literally possible for him to succeed on... so failed dispel attempt =... boom!

Also, yeah, arcane disciple looks to be lots of fun.

My guide to Master Spellthief has a few uncapped spells that might be of use.

Wow, those spells are amazing... if only I didn't have evocation banned.  Thanks for the leads!

@ArcangelGabriel- I'm using the circle magic feature of red wizard of thay, along with a spellcasting cohort, to boost my caster level higher than normal each day.

mh...i'm sure that you must have at least 2 apprentices to achieve a circle magic !

No, one apprentice works fine.
