UA suggests that these not be used in conjunction with normal base classes (though theres always the DM fiat), though prestige classes would work normally. I recall seeing the generic spellcaster being used for some builds, but im not sure in what capacity. The option to pick you skills, saves, and spells of any list seems extremely powerful. One could easily DMM:persist all sorts of 'arcane' spells. The warrior option would allow you to have +2d6 SA at first level, and a strong reflex save if you desire. if your DM disregards the ban on normal base classes, you could do some wanky stuff with the SA fighter variant, and the halfling rogue substitution level, netting 5d6 on a ranged sneak attack at level 3 |
