#1 riven_cale Aug 16, 2008 10:43:01	I had originally made a post on here about trying to combine primeval/frost rager that was deemed not possible to make effective. Since then however the DM has allowed Gestalt characters changing one rule; you can take 2 PrC's at once. He is doing this mainly cause we have a small group and not everyone can make it to the games all the time which often causes us to not be able to play. By allowing gestalt and waving the only one PrC at a time rule I believe he is trying to make it so we can play with only two people. On to the build: I think barbarian and Druid fit my character concept well and will allow for me to fight/Heal. PrC wise, I love the Primeval, definitely taking that. Im open after that, Warshaper looked like it might be nice for a dip, frenzied berserker looked neato as well. Any suggestions on this character would be appreciated. I have never played a gestalt and the options seem to be overwhelming.
#2 woodenbandman Aug 16, 2008 11:43:03	did you check the druidic avenger variant? it's pretty much just like a druid/barbarian gestalt. You just give up your animal companion and all of a sudden you have another class you can gestalt into. I'd suggest Wizard, so you can be the ultimate gish. you only have to give up your spontaneous casting, which makes you a bit less versatile as a druid, hence the wizard gestalting. Now, for prestige classes, do you have prestige class gestalts? if so, then you should gestalt with Geomancer/some other full spellcasting class, which lets you ignore any and all arcane spell failure by level 10. alternately, just gestalt abjurant champion and some 5 level full divine spellcasting class, which will give you insane amounts of mage armor, not to mention wild armor which you're hopefully going to use all the time while you're wildshaping. You need natural spell by the way. In fact everyone should have it. It's just that good. So you can cast mage armor and shield and wear a +1 wild darkleaf fullplate, and have an ac of 37 without any sort of dex enhancement nor natural armor. Assuming you spend all your time in dire bear form (all druids should), you are officially a bear with about 40 AC, the ability to rage, and full spell casting for both arcane and divine progressions. Toss in Bite of the Weretiger, and you're set. your damage output per round should be well up there in the several hundreds.
#3 nanshork Aug 16, 2008 12:55:33	Woodenbandman, Abjurant Champion's ability doesn't work with Mage Armor. It's not an abjuration spell. Riven_Cale, if you're going to go Frostrager, look at the PrC Fist of the Forest in Complete Champion. It will help boost your unarmed damage, and gives you Con to AC and some other goodies like having your unarmed attacks count as magic weapons for DR.
