| #1ranger557Dec 05, 2010 6:56:31 | Hey guys, Im building a character based on Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear and was thinking he should be a Barbarian//Swordsage build. I know all books will be allowed, but don't know if any other houserules will be included lol. I was thinking he would be a warforged that looks human because he pratically lives forever. Also he would be a Barbarian because of the Rage ability simulating his Gear power mode and Swordsage because of the Desert Wind discipline gives him fire abilites that simulate his fire abilities from his sword. I was also thinking of his stats and depending if we use point buy or straight up rolling, it would be Wis>Str>Dex>Con>Int>Cha. However, maybe boost his Int a little higher because he is a scientist and so he would have a really awesome intelligence. Also what weapon would he use and what feats would he aquire? Im thinking he would get a longsword and the feats, maybe unarmored body and of course power attack. Also for the swordsage class I was thinking he would go the unarmed variant to get the feat and unarmed progression damage. What do you all guys think? thanks for any help ![]() |

If you can't read, you can't read explosive runes. Seriously, tho, that is a powerful combo. Your build fits the character more however. |

I would definitely want to read and understand what is going on around me, lol. Also yeah it wouldnt really fit Sol Badguy at all sorry , in my IMHO. He was a scientist, so definitely he would know how to read lol . I was thinking stats and if we had 42 point build, I would think his stats would be this, what do you all think?str : 16 dex: 16 con: 14 +2 = 16 int: 14 wis: 16 -2 = 14 cha: 8 -2 = 6 |

| #5ranger557Dec 07, 2010 17:29:51 | try using Elan as a race(unlimited life span, no maximum Age) Yeah, when I was looking at races i definitely thought of Elan, but then somebody suggested Warforged and I love that race and I do remember the Warforged doesnt have an ending age, but the Elan do. Also I was thinking what would make more sense, I thought Elan sounded good, but then I look at the Warforged race again and they do seem more Gear-like, right? lol Max. Age 1000 years + 10d% |

| #8ranger557Dec 10, 2010 21:29:41 | I think it was actually in the Errata where Elan were stated to have no maximum age. recheck the book ..... they have No maximum age Hey guys, sorry for the late reply, been moving around.......lol. Anyway though, I was reading the XPH book and yeah in the description it says they have "unlimited lifespan" but in the table they do have a maximum age, but I checked the Errata for it and yes it is clarified that they do not have a maximum age. Thanks guys :D However, here is a question, What makes more sense? An Elan or a Warforged with fluff to look human? Elan sounds like a good race because of them already looking human and are immortal but not very Gear-like. Now the Warforged sounds like a good race too, they have helpful racial traits and they are immortal as well, but you have to put some fluff to say they look human and the -2 Wisdom could hurt the swordsage class. ![]() What do you guys think? |
