| #1zylo_drizztOct 31, 2010 6:23:49 | would like to know what would be good. going for master of many forms. i dont know how everything will work out but there are some house rules like warforged plating is just like skin which opens up new options for me though dont know if i would still have to take darkwood body to use my wild shape. also dont know if we are gonna use pathfinder rules for polymorphing. going with some stuff from d20 modern but dont know all we will use from there. thinking of going dragonborn with warforged. main thing is what to gestalt druid with and try to sell me on other things as well if you like. my first two ideas is warlock and monk. HAVE AT IT AND THANKS IN ADVANCE |

| #3zylo_drizztOct 31, 2010 13:07:17 | didnt know you could gestalt like that, hmm cause if thats the case why not druid 20 and other class and other class 20? or however you would have to divide it up, i had forgotten about the whole wildshaping ranger and animal companion is not a must at all, most the time i never even use it with my druids anyways, what about for race? oh and why swashbuckler? how bout daggerspell shaper or whatever its called for the bonus to natural attacks? |
| #4Maat_MonsOct 31, 2010 13:13:09 | The problem with warlock is that invocations, unlike all other spell-like abilities, have somatic components. This means almost everything you would want to use from warlock becomes unavailable when you're using wild shape. Natural spells only lets you cast druid spells when using wild shape, so it's no help. Depending on which aspects of monk you're interested in, you can use the Unearthed Arcana variant to trade wild shape for a monk's AC bonus and fast movement and a ranger's favored enemy and tracking. If you're using wild shape ranger / master of many forms on the other side, you don't need wild shape on the druid side anyway. |
| #5urpriestOct 31, 2010 18:07:09 | Daggerspell shaper is cool, but generally with gestalt you can only take one prestige class at a time, rather than one on each side. I'd suggest that the other side of your gestalt be Swordsage for Wis to AC and fun maneuvers. By the way, using Pathfinder rules for polymorphing seems like it would clash with the whole point of Master of Many Forms, but it depends how it gets houseruled. Since you want full casting I'd advise something like: Druid 20//Swordsage 10/Master of Many Forms 10, though not in that order. You want to put swordsage levels in between levels of Master of Many Forms to increase the level at which you gain maneuvers. |
| #6jgumbyrxOct 31, 2010 19:07:10 | oh and why swashbuckler? how bout daggerspell shaper or whatever its called for the bonus to natural attacks? the reason that I threw in swash is for 2 things: 1) with the Daring Outlaw feat, it stacks with rogue for sneak attack 2) full BAB (sure, there are other full-bab classes, but none of them can stack for sneak attack .... which is kinda important for a savage grapple character ... 'cause, you know, wildshape makes grapple viable without too much dedication of resources) --- oh yeah ... it also gives you dodge bonuses to AC and Reflex ... and another source of extra damage (albiet from a tertiary stat). as for daggerspell shaper: - not all it's cracked-up to be; especially with gestalt. MoMF + Warshaper is superior. - you've already got 1 10-level PrC ... and as it has already been said, gestalt only allows 1 at a time. you might want to take 3 levels of MoMF, then jump over to Warshaper for 2 levels; thengo back and finish MoMF, and then go ahead and finish Warshaper: wildshape class 5/MoMF 1-3/WS 1-2/MoMF4-10/WS 3-5 // (whatever you want to put here) |

The standard plating will not harm your abilities and I think ironwood body is not worth the feat (if you get an 20 or better dex at any time you will have as good or better ac than with the feat and with lower dex you will only have one better. further it gives you an ACP. Only take it if you really value that extra point of ac or the DR). |
