I intent to build a god according to Treantmonk's definition (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=956548), which is (very) small so it can easy hide/ride on the back of it's familiar or something similar.

Rules:
- 3.5 WotC books only (Note: we treat everything published before PHB 3.5 as D&D 3.0)
- Polymorph (and derived spells) only change the following: size, movement, breathing and speech (capabilities)

Character Build Rules:
Stats: 22 point buy
Level: 3-15 (evenly spread out over 7 sessions)
Gestalt:
- Fractional Bab & Saves
- Prestige classes count as both choices for that level
- The character is not allowed to have a XP-penalty
Wealth: 75% normal for it's level (see DMG)

We have a large party (5 to 8 players) and as far as I can currently tell we are heavy on the BSF's and Glasscannons, which is why I decided to try something completely different.

The problem: I've hardly ever played a wizard an if I did it was usually a utillity caster or a glasscannon.

What I've got so far:
Race: Muckdweller (LA+0 tiny) (Serpent Kingdoms)
Druid|Wizard 6/Arcane Hierophant 1/Druid|Wizard 8
Druid
- Deadly Hunter
- Fangshield Druid lvl 4
- Spontaneous Rejuvenation
Wizard
- Specialization (Conjuration ?)
- Focused Specialist
- Simple (Fighter Feats) (Ride feat @ lvl 1)
- Spontaneous Divination @ lvl 5

Animal Compagnion: Chordevoc (RoS)
Ring of Reduction (LoM)

Although I've started to wonder if I couldn't better go for a improved familiar. But then what should I take instead of Druid?

All help is appreciated.

I would recommend against Arcane Hierophant. At levels 3-15 you would suffer from being few levels back compared to a straight caster. And with 22 pb it's quite mad, too.

Considering that your party includes multiple BSF and glass cannons, I suggest to become a wizard 5 / war weaver 5 / something 5.

If party needs healing, combat medic would be a nice finish, if you find a way to get access to CLW.

Edit: Oh it's gestalt, ignore me! Except the MAD with 22 pb.

Gestalt. Oh god. I need to walk this off for a bit.
So PrCs always count as both sides of your progression?
Is psionics banned?

What about Tome of Battle?

Yup, prc's always count for both sides.

Everything is fair game, so yeah psionics and Tome of Battle are allowed. (As is every other WotC 3.5 book.)

Personally i would go Druid/wizard x no levels of any Prc, use one of the ACFs to get rid of your familiar for instance abrupt jaunt i believe, have an animal companion you can ride until you can wild shape then switch to one that is good and be your own mobility, pump int wis and con in that order. would suggest gnome for the con boost and small size.

the animal companion could fluff wise be your familiar, they do many of the same things and familiars arent all that great unless you focus on them.

My vote goes to Archivist//Crusader or warblade with a one dip in sacred exorcist for turning.

AH doesn't require me to have a familiar, while 1 lvl still improves my animal companion by granting it the abilities of a familiar.
would suggest gnome for the con boost and small size.

I think that if I would go this way I'd rather be a halfling due to the racial druid substitution levels. (Enhanced link to familiar and wildshape to tiny animal @ lvl 5) This would fit the "almost unnoticeable controller" concept better I think.

My vote goes to Archivist//Crusader or warblade with a one dip in sacred exorcist for turning.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but how does this help me be a "god" (Battlefield Control, Buff and/or Debuff)? Especially the crusader/warblade part confuses me.
