| #1jansentunnecliffeSep 05, 2008 21:46:21 | Im going to be in a campaign with 2 of my friends. One will be full-time DM and possible helping character. The other will be my travelling buddy. the build is going to based off of pre-existing character. so one side of the gestalt is set. it starts at lvl 15. the character i am basing it off of was 10th level and was set up like so 1-5 Rogue 6-10 Thief-Acrobat the 11-15 on that side will most likely be rogue as to get to the special ability rogues get at 10th and also for minor story reasons. i have tried to think of a good other side. i was looking for something that would make him more survivable. (as there are only 2 of us) any suggestions would be appreciative. i have access to all books and the DM is going to be very lenient as we need everything on our side to survive. thank you. |

Int based wizard is great for skills, which is something your character seems to be built for. Wizard, especially 15 levels of it, would definitely increase your survivability via spells. You'd also have a lot more utility, and sneak attacking with weaponlike spells is pretty fun. Alternatively, something from ToB like Warblade or Swordsage could be fun too. Go Tiger Claw for pimped out jumping on top of your Acrobat stuff. This would boost your melee prowass and make you fairly more sturdy. |

Swordsage qualifies you for Shadow Blade to get DEX to damage with Shadow Hand weapons (including unarmed strikes, daggers and spiked chains). Take the second swordsage level at level 8 or later so you can get Assassin's stance that adds another 2d6 sneak attack. Ask your DM if you can take Carmendine Monk (Champions of Valor) but use it for swordsage to get INT to AC in light armor instead of WIS Warblade has lots of nice INT synergy and you can pick up up to a 6th level stance at 15th level. BAB 14, average hit dice over d10, base saves something like 9/9/7 Or be a wizard. I prefer ToB classes to casters. |
