Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have been playing a gestalt game for some time now and am facing somewhat of a problem. I find that in usefulness and playability I have seriously lagged behind the rest of the party. This may indeed be due to my own decisions during the course of a session, as I admit I still have a lot to learn.

That said, any suggestions about the further progression of the character presented below would be much appreciated.

BOOKS: Any material from 3.5 books barring psionics. (All material must also pass DM muster.)

OTHER RULES: Standard gestalt rules apply (See UA), Also any base class must be taken for at least 3 levels (though not in a row)

CHARACTER: The character is a Shadowcraft mage // Rogue gestalt. While a sneaky ultra caster seemed like a really good idea at the start it has seriously affected the feats I can take.

RACE: Whisper Gnome.
ABILITY SCORES: (base) STR 8, Dex 16, Con 16, INT 20, WIS 10, CHA 10

BUILD:
1 Wizard(Illusionist) // Rogue Feat: Arcane Disciple(healing)
2 Wizard(Illusionist) // Rogue
3 Wizard(Illusionist) // Rogue Feat: Spell Focus(illusion)
4 Master Specialist // Swashbuckler
5 Master Specialist // Swashbuckler
6 Wizard(Illusionist) // Swashbuckler Feat: Earth Sense
7 Wizard(Illusionist) // Rogue Feat(wizard): Heighten Spell
8 SCM // Rogue
9 SCM // Rogue Feat: Earth Spell
10 SCM // Rogue
11 SCM // Rogue

Thats the build as it stands. I had aimed to take some more Master specialist to get Greater spell Focus for entry into Shadowcrafter on the wizard side, while for the other side I have no clue what to do next.

Any suggestions about where I can take this build?

With Thanks,
Dracnon

There's no reason for an 11th level wizard (a shadowcraft mage at that) should be lagging behind the rest of the party. Unless everyone is playing a cleric with Nightsticks and Divine Metamagic.

Here are two good links for you to look at:

Also: For your other side go either Rogue 3/Swashbuckler 17 and take Daring Outlaw or Scout 3/Ranger 17 and take Swift Ambusher. Maybe try to sneak in Duskblade 3.

The thing about gestalt is this: you want an active side and a passive side. The active side is what you are and the passive side augments it. For example: A paladin//soulknife will play very differently depending on which side you concentrate on. The other thing is this: you are still limited in the amount of feats you can take.

Now. If you want an ultra sneaky wizard, make your passive side factotum. Access to every skill ever plus some nice perks. Go monk 1/factotum 19 and take carmendine monk. And for Arcane Disicple take Luck not Healing. Why? Spontaneous Miracle (it takes some RAI, your DM may bookchuck at you). Talk to your DM about retraining your existing levels.

Concentrate on your casting side, first and foremost. Take feats that augment your casting. The shadowcraft mage handbooks are amazing for that. Earth Spell + Heighten Spell + Signature Spell (Silent Image) [be sure to take the UA illusionist wizard spell mastery & chains of disbelief options]. Another option you may want to consider is Incantrix, but again the handbooks will present you some builds.
