May 19, 2008 11:54:52 hey i'm trying to make a gestalt summoner. My current ideas contain lvling wizard/druid till lvl 6, then taking arcane hirephant and starting with cleric and then taking master of shrouds. I was wondering if there are other good summoning prestige classes and what are the good summoning feats. I have pretty much every book at my disposal. Thanks for your input.

Or a Psion/Wilder build which takes delayed enervation and one level of warblade for ironheart surge. Then wild surge and make an awesome astral construct.

Both builds allowing you to summon much higher level summons than you normally would be able to do.

Arcane Hierophant (and other dual progression PrCs) should not be used in gestalt games.

I suggest Druid 20// Focused specialist wizard/Master specialist/Malconvoker

edit: or add 1 level of cloistered cleric and go druid 19. Turn undead attempts and domains (free feats!) are nice.

May 19, 2008 17:47:31 +1 Malconvoker, also could try thaumaturgist, more calling than summoning but still very useful, and the Fiendbinder I think it is from Tome of Magics Truenaming section.

May 19, 2008 23:46:50 A cloistered cleric shadowcraft mage also makes a great summoner. Use divine metamagic heighten to increase the level of your spells.

May 20, 2008 7:02:11 If possible, take the Rashemi Elemental Summoning and Greenbound Summoning feats, from Unapproachable East and Lost Empires of Faerun, respectively.
