So far I am going Sorcerer6/War Weaver5/Spellguard of Silverymoon5/X and Cleric20. My race of choice so far is an aasimar. For healing I am taking Touch of Healing for utility healing and Mastery of Day and Night for basic healing. Flaws are open and I am able to take Sanctum Spell. Not sure what I should take for the last 4 levels. I am also thinking about learning Giant Size so I can buff our front line. I know the spell says personal but because it raised AC I can cast it as a touch spell via Spellguard. |

Your ideal is to focus on preventing damage by restricting your opponent's actions or removing them entirely. The only real exception is the heal spell (and its improvements) which is powerful enough to be worth using in combat once someone gets seriously damaged. Outside of combat you can patch people up at your leisure. Prevention is quite literally better than cure. As for your other four levels, how about some levels of abjurant champion (from Complete Mage)? You've got access to a bunch of abjuration spells as a cleric, and the abjuration improvements aren't restricted to arcane spells. Four levels will give you automatically extended abjurations and the ability to automatically quicken up to 2nd-level abjurations (which may not sound like much at 20th level, but allows you to drop in useful things like resist energy or shield other without limiting your other actions). |
