Trying to make a heavy strength based character using the fling enemy/fling ally, rock hurling. Requierments:

*20 lvl build
*max starting ECL 3 (LA + HD)
*No bigger then Large (although if the character COUNTS as a larger size that is fine)
*needs to be useable at lvl 7 (don't want something that only becomes useful at later lvls)
*All WotC books, magazines, web accepted.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Lolth touched as a template +1 LA, +6 strength and CON, immune to fear, +4 on hide and move silently. Only have to be CE as an alignment. That's a solid start.

Although I do enjoy the stat boosts I would rather stay away from a evil alignment....specially a chaotic evil one. I was thinking a half minotaur goliath since that would make me large sized + powerfull build which (I think) would allow me acess to the Savage Species fling enemy (as long as i could find a way to get improved grab). I was thinking 6 fighter/ 3 hurking hurler/ 10 war hulk...but there are probably better ways to do this....

Half-ogre half-dragon gives you +12 streangth on top of the + and large build from goliath for only a +6 LA I think.

Trying to stay within a ECL 3 for the race.

Don't forget the feats Jotunbrud and Monkey Grip.

Jotenbrud is human only I'm afraid. Not touching Monkey Grip.

I vaguely recall there being a feat that lets you treat yourself as human if you are one of hte half-races (half-orc, half-elf).

Or is that only a 4e thing?

Yes, Races of Destiny, "Human Heritage". Problem is, both this and Jotenbrud are 1st level only, so you will need flaws.

May be worth it?

By the way, the reason why I ask is because of the half-giant from Dark Sun. It would be totally up to your DM if Jotunbrud stacks with oversized and if flaws are allowed, but those two give you a +2 weapon size while still being medium.

Well monkey grip doesn't really matter since this build would resolve around the character "size" not the size of the weapon he can wield. Fling ally is only 20 ft range increment if you are two sizes bigger then the person you are towing (40 ft with the improved rock hurling feat). Fling enemy is 5 ft for every 5 above the grapple check with a maximum distance equal to the fling ally. Neither can exceed your maximum load. The reasons i used hurking hurler and warhulk in my build is because they give bonuses to damage, size and effects of rock throwing. Things I am looking for:

*Better +1 to +3 ELC starting race
*Good feats to combine with these tactics.
*Better build progression (currently the idea is 6 fighter/ 3 hurking hurler/ 10 warhulk)
*Good magic items for this build.
*A way to get fling enemy from "savage species" (improved grab and huge sized are the requirements) instead of the one mentioned from "races of stone".

Hope that helps clarify things.

A Bear Totem (alternate class feature in Complete Champion) Barbarian will get you the Improved Grab.

The Goliath has a Barbarian racial Subsitution level that make you large while raging.

Or you could get a Dorje with Expansion at manifester level 7 (for 2 size categorey increases) for 21000 gp.

If I apply a "Half ???" template (half dragon, half ogre, etc) to a human do I still meet the requierment for human only feats?

And thank you for the bear totem idea....i think that will work great.

I don't what template they are talking about when they say Half Orge, but Half Orge as a race (they are in Races of Destiny) start as Large. Meaning no they don't qualify as human, though Half Dragon might. An intersting possibility is a Symbiotic (template from Savage Species) Half Ogre (host) Pixie (guest).

After looking up some other racial options a psionic Duegar with Duegar Expansion is a pretty good option since only has a +1 LA and at 7th level can become huge, stack on a couple low LA templates such as Feral (which also gives Improved Grab) or Winged and you have one rather interesting Gray Dwarf.

There is a feat that allows you to qualify as a human if you pick a race that is half-X called Human Heritage. I totally forget what book it is in, even though someone just told me. xD

I am THINKING that I will use the half- Doppelganger template from dragon magazine. It has the alternate form ability that will allow me to shift into 3 other humanoids from small to medium size. I will use that to shift into a Goliath. That will make me count as large sized due to the powerful build. Now I just need a way to shift the Goliath up by one size category to qualify for the fling enemy from savage species. I saw a feat once that let you be one size category bigger when wildshaping. I do not remember what it was or where it was...if the feat is only wildshaping I cant use it but if is any polymorth/alternate form I could use it for this build. If I cant use the feat I will have to find something else (magical or otherwise) that will allow me to do this.

The reason I want to use the half doppelganger template is that way I am not this huge sized thing walking around all the time plus with the other two alternate forms I could have a lot more versatility to the character. And its only a LA +2 which is nice. The reason I was asking about the if the half templates would change it all was because i was wondering if i still got the human feat and skills plus qualifying for any human only feats.

What do people think of this idea? And any other feats or class abilities that might help? Right now the build is only ECL 9:  LA +2 /1 Barbarian bear totem/ 4 warrior/ 2 hulking hurler/ 11??

EDIT: Found the feat. It was in complete champion "great and small". Regretfully it does not due what i want. Any one have any other sugestions?
