Ghost tank

I've been playing the game Mana Khemia, which is an awesome game and I recommend it to everybody (it is quite optimization friendly). Pamela, one of the characters that joins your party, is quite easily my favorite tank in any game I've played. This is because she is a ghost. As such, she gains two amazing abilities. One is complete immunity to non-magical attacks, and the other is that every time she dies she comes back at half health about two rounds later.

So I decided I'd try to make a character build for a ghost tank in D&D.

Since it's a tank, I naturally lean towards Monk 2 / Crusader n, as in the simplified version of Lockdown 2.0. However, I feel like this is not really taking advantage of the fact that the character is a ghost.

Another option would be to use Goad along with Malevolence to possess the enemy BSF and force his allies to attack him.

I'd also really like to be able to use Master of the Unseen Hand, but I don't see any way to make attacks of opportunity with telekineticly wielded weapons. Is there such a thing?

So, obviously, my ideas are all over the place. Does anybody have recommendations on how to put these together, or any other interesting ways to use a ghost as a tank?

Yes, Mana Khemia is great. Now to the meat.

Ghosts are usually already a hassle in melee from the simple fact they're incorporeal -- lots of people don't pack for fighting incorporeal creatures a good deal of the time, and when they do, they don't pack for other eventualities.

You should also keep in mind that incorporeal creatures take less damage from energy attacks as is.

Generally, the best tactics to use when you're incorporeal is to A) use your natural invisibility to surprise foes and B) use unusual angles of attack. Travel through the earth or walls rather than over air, for example.

Illusions also go a long way to give your foe false impressions of where you are if you're a gish, too.

That said, Ghost is not necessarily the best template to use. Consider a Vivacious creature -- effectively a ghost with fast healing 5 and a positive energy aura. Oh, and if your foes get one HP from your aura when they're full, they have to make DC 20 Fort saves or EXPLODE.
