#1 blackjackg Dec 11, 2008 17:46:51	Hey folks. Making a 3.5 build for a goblin, set on revenge against mind flayers for some reason. I was figuring on starting with Wilderness Rogue (UA) 3 and Ranger 2, then prestige Cavestalker (DotU) 4. Somewhere in there, I'd take a level of Lurk (CPsi) and all ten levels of Illithid Slayer (XPH). What that comes to is a decent BAB (+18), very strong saves, and manifesting as a level 10 Lurk. For flavor reasons, I wanted to avoid overt non-psionic magical effects like the Cavestalker's level 6 gaseous form, or pretty much anything the Stonedeath Assassin does. Character is lawful neutral, leaning a little toward evil. I don't know what I'd go for in terms of feats, besides Weapon Finesse and possibly Law Devotion (CChamp), to represent his single-minded dedication. So that's about what I've got. Any suggestions and criticisms are welcome.
#2 awaken_D_M_golem Dec 14, 2008 14:14:10	Lurk is usually an inferior build, but ignore that if you're already going with it. Lurk and Rogue overlap, especially if you use Mind's Eye stuff, on the Wizards.com site. Ranger or Rogue 1 / Psion X / Slayer 10 / finish something is a standard build. You'd get more caster goodies that way. Trot on over to the resuscitated Psionics board, to check out some more builds, maybe more to your liking.
#3 gorfnad_the_shiznit Dec 15, 2008 22:01:06	How about: Psychic Rogue 2/ Swashbuckler 3/ Ebon Saint 5/ Slayer 10 You could go Lurk 2 instead of Psychic Rogue 2 if you would rather have evasion or a different power list. Either way you get BAB 17 and 15 manifesting levels of psychic rogue or lurk powers. Also the build is entirely Int and Dex based, so really for a sneaky character like this no MAD.
