Gods without special rules

I've been dissatisfied with the fact you cannot become a god just through, say, basic and epic rules. I'm not sure if epic rules are necessary, but nevertheless, the ability to gain more than 20 levels is, so...

Looking at things, it seems most likely that one could build something really close to a god as a psionic uncarnate/cerebremancer type character.

A self-made god, if you like.

I do like Ignore Material Components, so let's go with some epic rules, but avoiding epic spells, as those have that pesky DM adjucation bit.

Okay, first of all, a character with seven levels of Cosmic Descryer can hit infinite CL with the simple expenditure of having a contingent true resurrection setup - very easy to get.
The expenditure of silent, still, quicken to access innate spell, means, once we get  a 14th level spell slot, we can sack that to get innate mental pinnacle, for an example, although that is probably the stupidest way to get inifinite PP.

But, what is a god?

A god has followers, who worship him, gain powers from him and eventually enter their home  plane in afterlife. Those closest to god fuse with the god.

 - incidentally, Cosmic Connection + True rez + Mental Pinnacle = NI PP = NI duration on fusion.

So, a magic-granting setup. First, I believe we can set up a plane-crossing telepathic bond between ourself and the worshippers. Easy enough, a duration of two days should suffice - if the recipient doesn't contact us to request a refresh, they need to re-establish contact through our church.

For granting abilities, and for being a god, I do like Arcane Innate Miracle, which requires a 17th level slot, or 19th for a silent, still miracle, which can be used by a schism. Fission + Schism nets us 4 miracles per round.

Now, naturally this means we can fulfill requests up to 8th level, easy enough, but we're still limited by the number of followers. Fortunately, with a Rod of Excellent Magic, we can create a single 20HD simulacrum clone of ourself per day, who we can use to share the duties necessary.
Actually, these simulacra can even shapechange into something living and thus become valid targets for Fusion, but that's a different bit of cheese.

I think this all can be pulled off within 40 levels, which tells something of how bad - or good - things get in epic.

Turning someone into a spellcaster is a bit tricky... I _think_ we could build a simulacrum, who could then be fused into the worshipper, granting them spellcasting ability. Hm.

So, we rebuild a fusion-capable simulacrum of ourself, using DCFS or psychic chirurgery, so that they have the necessary spellcasting ability, put all excess feats towards psionic talent, then we drain them of all PP and excess HP... Yeah.

So, basically we can  only add 1 follower per day, or so, dependant on the number of rods of excellent magic we possess.

But, how do we get some use out of these worshippers once they die? We could reincarnate them onto our demiplane, (which leaves a body) and use a NI fuse with the most like-minded of them. If they've been adventurers, we'd be gaining all sorts of abilities out of the deal.

According to *sigh* D&DG, devoted souls travel on their own to the plane of their god, so theoretically, these souls should just pop up on our little genesis'd plane. There, they'd probably be, as creatures, valid targets for polymorphing and fusing, but that's more fuzzy rules-wise than I prefer.

This is a pretty hilarious idea. With a NI caster level, Delay Death+Favor of the Martyr means that you don't even need a Contingent True Rez. As a side-benefit, you can never be killed via hit point damage (very god-like, don't you think?). Just make sure to protect yourself from those pesky Disjunctions and AMFs (a Contingent True Rez might be necessary there).

ok, i'm going to have to have a character run into one of these guys, since I've never heard of a campaign that goes up enough levels to do that and i want some way to use this
