| #1zaraitheDec 19, 2010 11:19:42 | Hey CO, I need some advice on Godsblood Spelltheft (found at www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frcc/2... ) I'm playing a (homebrewed, modified) spellthief and I've taken the Godsblood Spelltheft feat recently, the only problem is, I don't really know which domain to pick! A little background on the game: It's a high-power 6-person party, with an item-familiar-haxored Malconvoker, a bard who uses DFI and other things to give the party buffs like +5d6 sonic damage, +2 to Will Saves, and other things (combined with the Malconvoker sacrificing higher-level summons to summon 3-4 things at once, this is pretty deadly), a Paladin, a Raptoran Swift Hunter, and a custom base-class mage, along with the Bard's Shaman cohort who is essentially our healbot. I've had some use as the thief/rogue guy who steals spells and abilities from things from time to time. I was hoping the domain chosen by GBS would really give me some options....But what domain? My DM has waived the 'Time of Troubles' part and is just letting me pick one, but what domains have good spells? My experience with domains usually involves just picking the ones with the most awesome granted powers, but in this case, I need spells! Something like War would give me some good offensive spells and buffs (yay divine power), but peters out largely after 6th level or so; healing would be situationally useful, moreso if we didn't have the Shaman in the party to deal with that anyway. Trickery was looking cool, but I think I need something more combat focused. Anywho, any advice on what domain I should take? |
