| #1SylvanPrincessMay 08, 2009 11:46:48 | is there anyway at all besides crossing into something to get the great leap ability? is it a feat in a book somewhere? i kinda want it for my dragoon character before i get to later levels... |
| #2BalthanonMay 08, 2009 18:43:43 | Leap of the Heavens (PHB2) does basically the same thing, assuming you're talking about the Ninja ability. |
| #3jetstrike3000May 10, 2009 10:17:06 | Is there anything like the 3.0 Leap of the Clouds that removes the limit on jumps? |
| #4SenevriMay 10, 2009 10:30:25 | AFAIK there's no limit on jumps in 3.5 |
| #5dr_rocktopusMay 10, 2009 10:51:37 | Leap of the Heavens (PHB2) does basically the same thing, assuming you're talking about the Ninja ability. Yerp. |
| #6nickresonanceMay 10, 2009 14:05:05 | The first level of Blade Dancer (from OA) gives you +10 competence bonuses on Balance, Jump and Tumble, lets you always take ten with those, and removes jump distance limitations. Oh, and your base land speed doubles via an untyped bonus. |
| #7SylvanPrincessMay 10, 2009 14:36:37 | yes, but i likely wont prestige into that till later levels, and wanted to grab leap of the clouds sooner to maximise jump attack |
| #8qosheaMay 10, 2009 14:42:32 | I've never found a reference to a limit on distance you can jump, just that you normally need to take 20' run for a running jump. Is there a limit on the distance? |
| #9SenevriMay 10, 2009 17:00:40 | No there isn't. If you see references to such, they were in 3.0. They fixed jumping by making supernal speeds give boni. It's good to remember, DnD leaves real-world physical limitations behind @level 6. |
| #10BalthanonMay 10, 2009 17:24:48 | You are still limited by your movement speed though-- at least insofar as how far you can jump in a single round. You'll basically be in midair if you happen to exceed your movement speed. |
