| #1qosheaMar 26, 2009 20:25:21 | This is probably the most unoptimized character I've made (aside from his spell selection). Introducing Grug the Orgre Wizard Level 8 Race: Half-Ogre / Half-Orc Class: Wizard Level Adjustment: +1 Class Level: 7 Ability Scores, with racial adjustments: Str 20 (+5) Dex 13 (+1) Con 15 (+2) Int 13 (+1) Originally 12 Wis 13 (+1) Cha 06 (-2) Skills: Concentration (+12; 10 ranks + CON) Knowledge - Arcana (+11; 10 ranks + INT) Spellcraft (+11; 10 ranks + INT) Feats & Class Abilities: Summon Familiar; Scribe Scroll; Improved Initiative; EWP (Greathammer); Craft Magic Arms & Armor Spells: Level 1: 5 / day Identify True Strike Enlarge Person Mage Armor Fist of Stone Power Word: Pain Shield Level 2: 3 / day Invisibility Bull's Strength See Invisibility Level 3: 2 / day Might Wallop, Greater Bite of the Wererat Magic Items: None as yet, will provided by GM fiat or purchased if I use him as a character. |

Almost like that all orc, 18 str, greataxe party someone was discussing. |

Almost like that all orc, 18 str, greataxe party someone was discussing. Any armor he gets will definitely be Twilight enhanced, especially since he can do it himself. I saw that thread, it was partially the inspiration for this. I may actually make this my character instead of giving it to the DM as an NPC lol. |
| #4jameswilliamogleMar 26, 2009 21:12:07 | Since you only need higher Int to prepare or cast spells beyond what your Int allows, you could use Fox's Cunning a couple of times per day to prepare then cast some of those 4th level spells if your DM doesn't give a +Int item. |

I thought INT modifiers like that don't allow extra spells and the like. |

This isn't to gain bonus spells, but rather just to get the ability to prepare and later cast the spells you have due to your class ability. This gets around the "to prepare or cast a spell you need an Int of 10+the spell level" rule. |
