#1 Vitarri_Whitemane Oct 16, 2008 21:09:49	I have a build based on the supermount thread. The build is paladin 5/ Beastmaster 5/ Halfling Outrider 10. Devoted tracker was used to stack special mount with animal companion. Now BM grants him an additional companion does BM stack with Outrider and does Devoted Tracker grant it the special mount bonuses?

As a beastmaster gains class levels, her animal companion gains Hit Dice and other special abilities just as a druid’s animal companion does. Use the beastmaster’s class level + 3 to determine the animal companion’s special abilities. Halfling outrider class levels stack with paladin, druid, and ranger levels for determining the characteristics of a paladin’s mount or an animal companion. Emphasis is mine. If you have both the special mount and animal companion class features, you can designate your special mount as your animal companion. So you get a mount from your paladin levels, designate it your special companion from the beastmaster levels via devoted tracker. Halfling outrider gives effective class level stacking with the existing paladin or druid levels, not both at the same time. If you really want to press the point, you can likely apply the class level stacking from the halfling outrider levels in any ratio you want between the paladin or druid levels (2paladin/8druid) in the same way that most other prestige classes allow you to progress one arcane class at a time if you have both sorc and wiz levels. You do not get an additional mount from the outrider levels, so you cannot designate the additional companion via beastmaster as a mount/companion.
