Hey all, it's been a long time for me! I've been playing in a play-by-post game and I'm making a Halfling Swordsage - he's supposed to kinda be like Yoda in Star Wars Episodes II and III. All rule books are allowed outside of UA (but a few restrictions on stuff, like Able Learner is out), 32pt buy. I'm looking for help primarily in items and maneuver selection. What are your thoughts?

I'm not good at ToB (at all), just wanted to mention that Cloak of Resistance gives resistance bonus to saves, not enhancement.

And yeah, buy gloves of dex (+1 attack, damage, ac, reflex, init).

How much of your equipment is fixed? Are you just looking to spend ~4K gp?

You mean Gloves of Dexterity +2, don't you? 4000 is a lot of money to sink into just one more item.

I'm open to all kinds of suggestions, but the max-value is in play.

And I assume that "all books" means "all WotC books", too? For instance, the Synaptic Mask from Hyperconscious is 10x better than a Third Eye: Concentrate (because you can swap out different skills for cheap).

I'm not sure why you have +2 armor; is there a particular greater armor crystal you have your eye on down the road?

No Magic Vestment is available, since the party formation is still in flux. I suppose I can do with one less AC...

I was going to suggest reducing it to +1 and buying an amulet of natural armor. That would save 1K gold and give the option of using magic vestment later (however unlikely that is). Or you could then afford the Death Ward enhancement for your armor.

You might consider a golembane scarab, depending on how likely it is that you'll be fighting constructs.

If you don't have a divine caster, you might consider getting some magic oils (like Oil of Silence) and an oil chamber for your weapon; Silence as a swift action can come in handy sometimes. I don't remember if you can put an oil chamber on a non-hafted weapon, though.

The party does have one divine caster, however, he's down a couple of levels since he's a Ruby Knight Vindicator. The party level was also increased recently to 11, so there is a bit more room for additional items as well.
