Hi there fellow optimizers. I'm trying to build a halfling thrower, and would like your help with that!

First, my character concept revolves around a halfling rogue, going into master thrower and possibly multiclassing fighter for the aditional feats. However, there some things I'd like to discuss:

1st - I've come across the Whisperknife, from Races of Wild, and I've started to think about how would superior catch and palm throw work together? I could use 4 returning weapons for 2 attacks each? (as if I'm using two for two attacks each, but throwing two weapons at a time)
Yes, I'm aware of the insanity that would be carrying 4 returning weapons in the pouch, but I'd really like to know how it would work out...

2nd - I'm not quite sure about the feat selection. If I decide to go with both PrCs, I'd need Point-Blank Shot, Precise Shot and weapon focus (dagger). Then it would get me Quick Draw, and all left would be  TWF and weapon finesse. So that's 5 forced feats for PrCs. I could go Rog3, Fgt2, Swb1, then Master Thrower 5 and Whisperknife 9 (considering that superior catch works with palm throw).

Well, any WotC books allowed, any feats, class and everything, no limitations (hm... perhaps we're missing some book, but we probably can get it, as we're splatbook junkies lol)

As written, I don't think superior catch interacts well with palm throw. The bloodstorm blade prestige class (Tome of Battle) offers a similar ability, lightning ricochet, at 4th level, but it isn't limited in how many times it can be used per round, and it doesn't require the weapon to have the returning ability.

There's a bit of errata you should be aware of:

Page 58: Master Thrower’s Thrown Weapon Trick (class feature)

The master thrower’s palm throw ability counts as a volley attack, and only one instance of precision-based damage applies to the attack roll.

The power throw feat (Complete Adventurer) would still benefit from palm throw, especially in conjunction with weak spot.

I like Rogue 3/Fighter 2/ Invisable Blade 5/ Master Thrower 5/ Whisperknife5

Your feats and skills are basically planned out for you, by virtue of prereqs for the classes.

If you drop fighter and invisable blade, doing rogue 3/swashbuckler 2/master thrower 5/whisperknife 10 is probably solid, but feats will be difficult. Consider asking for a flaw. You are probably better off doing fighter 2 over swashbuckler honestly.

I think invisable blade is more helpful than whisperknife in general.

A lot of these questions you have you might want to check with your DM on. Find out how open to other interpretations they are, this is a fuzzy area and even if there is a legal answer you may find your group isn't using it.
