Where could one find a weapon for a halfling? Looking for something that will allow me to do the max damage of the weapon instead of taking the normal penalty I am working with any 3.5 Book have about 3000 gold and Have one feat to choose before we start out campaign. My halfling is a ranger

Once you have more money you could get a set of Strongarm Bracers. There are other ways, but they're probably not worth it.

If you actually have a feat to waste, and want higher weapon damage, Monkey Grip may be good for you, you can wield weapons as if they were one size larger, this means an increase in damage, but make sure you pick a weapon where it actually makes a difference.

Argh... The translation of this is: if you want to waste a feat and miss more often, take Monkey Grip.

The Strongarm Bracers are probably your best bet. If you're TWF with light weapons, you could also take the Oversized TWF feat.

you'd be better off taking power attack and taking a minus 2 on attacks than taking monkey grip

only true from small to medium and smaller. At medium to larger it is starting to be better then power attack but also more variable.

he's playing a halfling, unless he's using a greatspear I'd have to say power attack is better than monkey grip

As previously mentioned, Strongarm Bracers out of the MiC and perhaps Oversized TWF would be your best bet.

i was simply noteing the misnomer that monkey grip is inherently bad.

I know monkey grip's not bad if you're bigger than medium but, he's playing a halfling and unless he has a feat he wants to throw away or perhaps just a coolness factor power attack would be better. I'll admit I've made a medium character with monkey grip just for the reason of carrying a large greatsword and pretending to be out of an anime
