Heya guys I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea for a build utilizing either the Halruan Elder from Shining South or Red Wizard of Thay for a Forgotten realms cmapaign I am involved with as my Drow Hexblade/Drow Judicator is now on the lam after striking down a Baerne priestess. The wizard/sorceror will be 10th level and all completes/core and all Forgotten Realms books are allowed. No TOM/ Eberron/ or BOVD is allowed. Alignment will be evil or some type of neutral

Thanks in advance for any help given

This may not work, but is a far stronger option.

Hathran is a prestige class in 3.0 FRCS and 3.5 PGTF. The PGTF is a major change of the class just like incantatrix got a major change.

In the 3.0 version of Unapproachable East there was an evil version of those damn rashemni witches. It was almost identical to the 3.0 version with some small changes.

---

thus try to get your dm to allow a evil version of the 3.5 pgtf version. It is nice for it allows arcane or divine entry (so classes such as archivist). As well as combine with the acorn of far travel allows you to cast all your spells known spontaneously (since with the acorn of far travel you are treated as always in rashemni).

---

Spontaneously cast Holy Word, Word of Dictum, etc as well as all your other spells, and at a caster level of 40 is MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

plus leadership is great :P

Circle Magic is a trap. Leadership followers have only NPC classes, any followers with levels in a PC class are two levels lower than normal. So if you replace all of your 6th and 5th level NPC followers with 4th and 3rd level Wizard followers, they still can't contribute more than 2nd level spells to your circle magic. The best way to do it is have a Cohort who can also lead a circle, have him get spells from your followers and use them to Heighten one spell as high as he can, then have him give you that spell in another circle. That takes two hours to accomplish though, so you probably won't be doing it every day, plus you don't want to take those low-level followers out into hostile environments with you. Circle Magic is one of those things that's sometimes amazing in the very high levels, and amazing for NPCs, but not very good and not practical at all for mid-level PCs.

if I remember the npc only for leadership is a 3.0 rule and not a 3.5. Somebody with books on hand back me up or shoot me down please.
