| #1eldarielMay 26, 2008 15:22:10 | I was thinking of making a Bard that would act as a party healer, but I generally want the ability to cast Heal as a spell on my list eventually if that's the role I assume. So far the ways I've managed to figure out for adding it there are: -5 levels of Combat Medic: unfortunately it's not a Bard-class so it basically costs me Inspire Courage-bonuses, Bardic Music-uses, attack bonus and has crappy skills per level, ****ing up that job too. -Arcane Disciple (Healing): very useful, except it requires 16 Wis, so I don't think one would be able to afford it unless making a Dragonwrought Venerable Kobold. -Recaster: loses a caster level and Changeling-only. Still an awesome option, requires just 2 levels. Are there any I'm overlooking? Which would make the most sense? To me it looks like Combat Medic is pretty much out as losing 5 levels of all the abilities would kinda make them worthless, but Recaster looks decent, as does Arcane Disciple for a build with the Wisom to use it. Otherwise, I was thinking of some basic Bard with Healing Hymn (initially Bard 9/Virtuoso 1/Sublime Chord 2/Virtuoso 8), but that's all of course open. Race will be decided based on which best suits the means to get Heal, I guess. I'm working with basically all relevant 3.5 material. |
