| #1gilyseMar 29, 2008 15:13:49 | I'm participating in an upcoming campaign and i remember reading a post a long time ago about a druid healing build and i was wondering if it is a viable option. I've wanted to play a druid for a while, but i figure no one else is going to want to heal, so i was wondering what the best way to acheive this was. Thanks for any help. |

They lack Mass Heal, Greater Restoration, Break Enchantment and even get their Cure spells all a level later (except for Cure Light). They also get other healing spells a level later as well, such as Heal and Restoration. While a Druid is capable of functioning as a healer in the lower levels, at higher levels you'll really need Cleric casting in order to really fill the role. |

You don't need a cleric for healing normal damage; Wands of Cure Light Wounds/Lesser Vigor work just fine out of combat, and healing in combat isn't really viable anyway. A cleric is better at curing other maladies (ability damage/drain, poison, raising the dead...), but using a spell slot of one or two levels higher, or the occasional scroll really isn't that much of a price for playing what you want to play. Edit: Just how easy healing hp damage is... |
