| #1mervin_magnusJul 26, 2009 16:13:15 | I am currently making a barbarian build and I came across an intersting idea. Barbarian 5/ Hellreaver 5/ Champion of Gwynharwyf 10 I like the Hellreaver's Holy Fury, and I think it is mechanically better than rage (as long as you're facing evil dudes). So this build has that, plus the raging ability of a lvl 15 barbarian. So what do you guys think? Any improvements? |

The holy fury feature is very strong, especially the healing option, though we discovered the dimensional anchor sucks because of the very low caster level (useless against anything with SR). Just off the top of my head I think that this might be a better base; Barbarian 1 / Paladin of Freedom 5 / Hellreaver 4 / Champion 10 ACFs - Whirling Frenzy, Smiting Charge, Lion Totem Limited by 2 smites a day, but they are good for smiting the BBEG with a charge - Smiting Charge + Valorous Weapon + Rhino's Rush (in a wand-chamber) gives you a x4 modifier on your charge damage (with full attack from pounce). Had a bunch of extra features that a straight barbarian doesn't get like divine grave, divine health, immune to fear, and lay on hands (very handy with cadaceous bracers). Anyway, just throwing some ideas in the mix ;) |

Since I don't care for turning and since I run faster than my mount I am only going to take 2 levels of paladin. I like the idea of taking a 1 level dip into Fist of the Forest from Complete Champion (who doesn't want +Con to AC?) Classes: Barbarian 1/ Paladin 2/ XXX 2/ Fist of the Forest 1/ Hellreaver 4/ Champion of G 10 Should I complete Fist of Forest, should I get 1 more level of Hellreaver? (I thinking 1 in each) What dip can fill in that spot? If you guys have any improvements, please post |
