These are the rules my dm has set in place. If anyone can help along those lines.

I must be good aligned.

1.No Undead races
2.No Psionic races or classes
3.D&D 3rd ed and 3.5 ed books only, and no Eberron or D20 books No Tome of Magic either.
4.You will be alotted an amount to buy magic items, but I am not  allowing any item that adds to your abilities, aka +4 to Strength, at  least at character creation. And I am not allowing any item that gives  you a feat for free under any circumstance
5.We start at level 14
6. No Flaws are allowed as well as no regionals.
7.We are alotted 16000 Gold and can only buy 2 Magic Items during creation but will then be given 12,000 gould as starting gold and get to keep any of the unspent 16,000 once the campaign has begun.

I rolled my stats and got an 18,17,17,16,16, and 15.

I would like help optimizing a druid though I normally would just play it with what knowledge I have myself I play with another person who only plays optimized characters and would like to have a character that can keep up with his.

Human- Druid 14

Feats

  1. H- Spell Focus Conjuration

  2. 1- Augment Summoning

  3. 3- Beckon the Frozen (Frostburn)

  4. 6- Natural Spell

  5. 9- Persistent Spell (Complete Arcane)

  6. 12- Improved initiative

Ask your DM about the natural bond feat. If they say it lets you offset getting stronger animal companions take it. If not, do not. (If you take it ditch improved init)

Stats Wis>Con>Cha>Int>Dex>Str

Gist of your character. Frozen north woodsman who is all about the harsh-ness of the cold. Viking stuff.  You summon (Summon natures ally) dire polar bears (polar wolves, polar whatevers) and let them kill everyone. Also you turn into a dire polar bear (Or whatever) and fight alongside if you want. Oh and you pal around with a dire polar bear (Or whatever) and it fights too. Use buff spells, and remember they apply to both you and your companion. Never prepare summon natures ally. You can do this spontaneously.

If you see yourself fighting something like a fire elemental or fire mage, do not use the beckon the frozen feat when you summon. Otherwise, just always use it.

*I actually looked it up, you can't get dire polar bears yet. Use Dire Bears. If you can summon them, summon cold subtyped dire bears. They are basically polar bears for all intents and purposes.

For Items, buy your companion some cool barding, and get yourself something pretty too. Maybe a monks belt? (Your DM may rule you wildshaped can't wear it, but whatever its still wis to AC)
