Then read these:

Then come back with more information on what you'd like your character to do, and we'll be happy to help.

As well you shouldn't - its in Complete Mage.

Focused Conjurer 5 / Mage of the Arcane order 5

Domain granted power, Magic domain so you can use spell trigger items from your banned schools, then grab a staff with your favorite spells of your banned schools and you should be set.

If by focused you mean specialized, then yes, this could work. But if you really do mean focused as in the Focused Specialist PrC from CM, then this could never work; you'd be completely immersed in PrC's w/o having met any prerequisites :P

No, this works fine. Remember that Focused Specialist isn't a PrC - it's a variant wizard type. My current favored wizard build is Focused Specialist Wiz3/Master Specialist3/Mage of the Arcane Order7/Archmage5 with 2 levels left to play with, more if I decide not to go full Archmage, so I know his build is possible as far as pre-reqs. :D

Yeah, my mistake. I was confusing Focused Specialist with Master Specialist. Well, that just goes to show you how long it's been since I've opened up Complete Mage :P

I've been on a Psionic binge of sorts, recently.

Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting.
Personally, I'd go for Races of Stone Whisper Gnome instead.
Or just a plain Gnome. Gnomes are awesome. They're ahead other races by a nose's lenght. :P

As a level 10 wizard you also have the option of doing a Planar Chaos Mage, which might be interesting. As a Focused Specialist, you could cast 5th level spells at least 6 times/day.

*edit* Maybe try this build....
That being said, I'm not sure if anyone's ever tried this one in an actual game.
