| #1KrustyyMar 25, 2013 21:42:04 | Our D&D group is jumping back into a game where we left off at level 20. We are jumping back into the game at level 23 for a few sessions and then skipping to level 30 for a few sessions for a final grand ending. This leaves me in a position where I need to reequip my character. We have been told that we can fill every item slot with equipment up to level 25. My character is a whimsical, fun loving pixie (chaotic good) with a terrible past of indentured evilness. His quirks are that he prefers to not be seen whenever possible. He flitters around the battlefield becoming hidden with ease thanks to his phantom chassures boots. He uses his magician's ring to primarily communicate through ghost sounds whispering in people's ears or by speaking from a square he doesn't occupy. He rains down glowing toothpicks of terror with his radiant hand crossbow. I built the character specifically to maximize the following, in the following order:
This build currently rolls twice for: I absolutely need to keep my phantom chassures on my feet and would very much prefer to keep my magicans ring to be able to use ghost sound and prestidigation. Everything else is up in the air for upgrading to items of a level up to 25, including any wonderous items though artifacts are not allowed. Suggestions would be appreciated on any other items. I have most of my notes, including my current items, in a Google Document located here. The items tab contains the list of currently equipped items. Key points I want to address: * maximizing stealth, initiative, bluff, diplomacy, and intimidate in as few items as possible * keeping my damage bonuses up. * continuing to roll twice for stealth and providing for other opportunities to roll twice. I'll be doing a major stealth/infiltration/thieving mission so keeping stealth pegged at max will be important. I'm also looking at the following items at a cursory glance: ioun stone of dexterity to put stealth and damage bonuses in the same item serpentine bracers to deal an extra 1d8 when hidden transposing crossbow for an encounter power to switch places. I previously went with the radiant crossbow because I got a built in damage bonus. I have some more wiggle room now to see if I could finnagle some more cool items. A good list of wonderous items would be helpful as well. I'm definitely getting an elven chain shirt, skeleton key, unfettered thieves tools, and an immovable shaft (since a pixie can unshrink and mount the shaft in mid air to balance on it) |
