| #1noob_09Oct 25, 2011 4:32:13 | Dear all, I have build a rather complicated (in my eyes) Ruby Knight Vindicator and ask your help to further tweak/optimize it. The idea for my build is to have some versatile sneak attacker/swordsmen/caster...and last but not least.to be EVIL. ATM I am at a loss concerning the caster level and initiator level. Furthermore I was looking for a way to get Hunters Mercy earlier in his career on the divine caster list. Here is what I came up with so far NE Human 28pt buy Str 10 Dex 10 Con 10 Int 14 Wis 15 Cha 12 Rouge1/Fighter1/CloisteredCleric1/DreadNecromancer1/Crusader1/Ur-Priest2/RubyKnightVindicator10/DreadNecromancer+1/UnsenSeer2 1 able learner, iron will(b),trap finding, sneak attack +1W6 2 combat reflexes(b) 3 spell focus evil, extend spell(planning domain), knowledge domain, magic domain 4 wis +1 rebuke undead 5 6 extra turning 7 rebuke undead 8 wis +1 9 persist spell 10 11 12 DMM persist, wis +1 13 14 15 extra turning 16 wis +1 17 18 alternate spell source 19 sneak attack +2W6 20 wis +1 silent spell, advanced learning BAB +15/+10/+5 Fort +10 Ref +7 Will +25 CL 17 ??? IL 14 ??? Turn attempts: 2*12=24, means I can persist 3 spells and have 3 spare for RKV recovery awesomeness. Sneak attack 2W6 +6W6(Hunters Mercy) (9W6 if I can empower it with a MM rod) Help and critique is much appreciated |

The number of dice isn't a variable number. (If you empower a CL 6 fireball you multiply 6d6s result by 1.5, you don't add 3d6. Mathematically equal but procedurally distinct. Compare to Greater Magic Weapon +4: same idea (the bonus increases with level) but not empowerable (since it isn't variable). |

The requirement for the ur-priest is to not cast divine spells (except, presumably, those granted by the prestige class itself), rather than not worshipping a deity. So, it's possible for a character to worship Wee Jas while also stealing their power from deities; they just won't be a fully-functional cleric of Wee Jas. I do have to say that the one level of rouge seems very appropriate for a Ruby Knight Vindicator. It makes me wish the build had room for a level of Crimson Scourge, a dip into Scarlet Corsair, or maybe just some Red Wizard. ![]() |

Red Wizard would be nice, but I do not have enough arcane caster levels in there, and no other divine level to sacrifice either. I was toying around with Assassin in there instead of Dread necromancer, but couldn’t make it work. |

lol. better to be a rouge/blue mage/purple dragon knight. |

Who/what is this Zargon? A deity? And where can i find it/him/her? Thx |
| #8sirpercivalOct 29, 2011 10:59:39 | Zargon is an Elder Evil (by the book of the same name), a lawful one so more in line with RKV (wee jas is a lawful deity). By dedicating yourself to an Elder Evil you get free vile feats. I made a Warlock/Ur-Priest/Eldritch Disciple and satisfied both Ur-Priest and ED requirements by dedicating myself to Zargon. |
| #9noob_09Nov 03, 2011 5:22:36 | Ok. Looks a bit over the top..but "all hail Zargon" Never played with vile feats, so I am curious if someone has recommendations. |
