ok, if anyone has read the order of the stick comics, u will know what i'm talking about. basically i want to make a halfling (any kind) dual-wielder, probably ranger. i've been thinking ranger, then going into tempest, but am not sure because i really want to make sure i get the feeling from the comics of slaughtering everything, as i will actually be roleplaying Belkar

Halfling Ranger 9/Barbarian 1 works fine.

Well, Belkar is definitely a Ranger X/Barbarian 1. Ranger 9 does sound pretty accurate too. Remember, he's not really optimized... he has a Wisdom of 10, for example, but definitely didn't trade out spellcasting for anything else. Also, he dual weilds daggers.

Now, from there you could still do a little. Lion Totem and Whirling Frenzy would really help, for example. Trade those daggers for Kukris and you could have a lot of fun with Enfeebling Kukris, if you wanted.

How much do you want to stick to the ranger class?

the ranger class doesn't matter too much, and neither do daggers, i mainly just want belkar in appearance, and most of all, action.

Oh, that's different then. Warblade 7/Lion Totem, Whirling Frenzy Barbarian 1/Ranger 2, if your DM doesn't do exp penalties. Eventually PrC into Bloodclaw Master and go nuts.

Yep, that's pretty much exactly what I was going to suggest.

I'd suggest a Swift Hunter build.

Barb X / Scout 4 / Ranger Y / Warblade Z (X, Y, Z depend on whether you have multiclass penalties)

Arctic Halflings have Ranger as a favored class.

See if you can get your DM to let you take Imperious Command and then call it Craft Disturbing Mental Image. It fits!
