#1 kell_kheraptis Jul 02, 2009 18:08:11	There it is folks, the build is Wiz 3/War Weaver 5/Spellguard of Silverymoon 2, and 14k of it has been spent making my a metamagic juggernaut via our good friends the magical locations. I know Sandals of the Vagabond are a shoe-in, as is the "utility belt" listed elsewhere.
#2 Wyvernhand Jul 02, 2009 18:30:20	Anklets of Translocation are must-have low level wizard survival gear. Circlet of Rapid Casting is 15000g and GODLY! You want one of these. Its like a Lesser MM Rod of Quicken, only slightly different and MUCH cheaper. Great for tossing out Greases, Glitterdusts, and Rays of Enfeeblement while still doing other stuff during your turn. Dispelling Chord is good and cheap, pick up one of those. Hat of Int +2 is 4000g, and is really vital. +4 is 16000g. You can't really afford +6 at 36000g right now unless you sacrifice a lot. +2 Cloak of Resistance for 4000g, get one of these as well, or at least +1 for 1k. Other than that, buy spellcasting services to learn additional spells of your higher levels. Oh, another handy thing would be a Lesser MM Rod of Sculpt Spell. Those are rather cheap, only around 4000g, IIRC. Thats a worthwhile buy if you can get one.

The Cloak can be something else, since I'll have a Magic Tattoo for +2. Any other must haves for uber cheap?
#4 Wyvernhand Jul 04, 2009 9:51:48	Did you check Bunko's? Search the sticky thread at the top for a thread called Bunko's Bargain Basement. That thread is a collection of useful magic items that are a good bargain for their effects. Lots of cheap stuff thats useful. OH CRAP! I forgot. Get a Heward's Fortifying Bedroll from Complete Mage. Its FREAKING AMAZING. Recover a full nights spells in 1 hour. Great for those every other day midday naps to get all your spells back. Dirt cheap too, at about 1,500g, IIRC.
